What sums Jordan up is in the Last Dance doc he would gamble on the plane with Scottie etc in the 90's for thousands of dollars and take their money.. he would want to beat them and dominate them at gambling on cards, some of the role players who didn't have so much money would also be gambling for a few dollars at the back of the plane just for fun and Mike would come over and ask if he could join them, they would ask why he wants to play with them for barely any money and he replied because he wants them and himself to know hes walking around with their money in his pocket... lmao. The guy was just insanely competitive, incredibly skilled and talented and also a psychological beast.. that's why his name is used as an adjective to describe people who are the greatest ever in their field of work.

His dad tells a story about telling Jordan when he's like 6 or 7 that he'll never be as good as his brother and to go back in the house with Mama. Bryon Russell, I actually met him at Mitch Richmond’s house lol. I was dating Mitch’s friend’s daughter, and she got invited to some party at Mitch’s house and I got to tag along. Sounds weird I know, but it’s true. “The Oaks Of Calabasas”, I’ll never forget that neighborhood.

An egotistical person doesn’t see their flaws and produces an over glamorous image of who they are. Michael Jordan doesn’t rly do that and instead just has an innate insane competitive drive to win. There’s an incredible difference between ego and drive.

He just wanna win at all cost inc crushing his teammates in the process if he had to.. if they were just playing but not playing to win every games they play
