The trident would do ~11 hearts per hit, and the netherite sword only 5.5~ with them both at max level impaling and sharpness. This 1) passes the one ahot threshold for unarmored zombies, skeles, etc. WITHOUT A CRIT, and VASTLY out DPS's on high hp enemies i.e. the Wither or Warden, as seen in the video.
@@flextaped you have zero idea what you're talking about. 1 heart = 2 health points. Zombies have 20 hp netherite sword does 14 hp (7 hearts you claimed 5.5) damage with sharpness 5. A trident with lvl 5 impaling does 21 hp dmg in rain and water, however that is very niche. It's not useful in the end, it's not useful in the Nether, catching the wither in the rain, or water is just a pain in the behind, can't be used in the deep dark, etc. And it only out dps a netherite sword by 7 hp when in rain/water in every other situation the netherite sword out dps by 6 hp consistently. Good luck getting the warden or the ender dragon in water. The wither is easier bc you can wait till it rains, however that is annoying in itself to wait for rain when you can just use a sword immediately and kill it relatively quick. The only real consistent use I could see would be for fighting the elder guardian (what it was meant for). Also no, it's not an early game thing, they're relatively both late game and can take the same ammount of time to get based on rng.
Try throwing 9 loyalty tridents while having a full inventory with additional items at your feet. This will essentially give you a ring of death to all mobs.
Imagine if Bane of Arthropods worked on any mob caught in a cobweb, not just spiders, bees, silverfish and the like. I guarantee it would be used more.
Unless a boss is added that drops something useful and classifies as a arthropod then it will be used but right now there’s no point, smite is used more and it’s only used to kill the wither
Controverisal but I think creepers can be classified as arthropods for this purpose. I don't know if they have a spine or not though. Their body is unique in the game as well. I just think they should be affected by this as well.

Another good thing about bedrock tridents is that if you throw a loyalty trident and then pick up enough items to have a full inventory then the trident will follow you and damage anyone who comes near you.

At least when I used to play years ago. Bedrock was just simplified. Granted they have "improved" it. But the Redstone mechanics are wack. It's overall coded far worse and has alot more bugs. It's insainly microtransactioned. Whereas Java has bassically none. Bedrock is littterally just knockoff minecraft to scam 5yos into buying skins. Notice Bedrock pretends you have to buy skins. And java let's you just upload a jpeg. Bedrock is just a cash grab unfortunately. And you can see that it's been designed around that. I would never let my kid play Bedrock.

A trident with channeling and impaling both to the highest u can get them is a good combo on bedrock especially in a thunder storm can one shot some mobs but not all of them
Trident killers are probably the best thing about bedrock, you can build insanely fast farms, and if you hold a looting sword in your hand the effect applies to the tridents, so you can effectively get triple the loot
This is true and I have been a Bedrock player for most of my life playing Minecraft, but I also always dreamed of playing Java Edition due to how the game just feels and runs smoothly with better mechanics and gameplay Imo. Java has so many upsides, but it also lacks some things that might be present in Bedrock edition and would make Java Edition perfect if they were implemented.
Java does NOT run smoother. Bedrock is designed for weaker devices so it’s gonna run better. I’ve had more lag spikes and crashes on a good computer running java than on an old iPhone. Bedrock running on windows is buttery smooth and that crazy render distance is amazing. The lack of proper shaders and mods sucks though.

@@Giimbapp - personally, I don't like first-person camera movement in java. - shaders are nice, 10/10 - bedrock redstone is pretty much more intuitively than the java on. It's just that intuition is a *relative concept*... You don't have knowledge about bedrock redstone, which leads to you evaluating it incorrectly, which is also some of the reasons why java players have difficulty understanding bedrock's redstone. Bedrock Redstone doesn't have an update order like Java, and that's good! You don't need to design a system to control chaos, save memory, and not make redstone locationality. Redstone shouldn't make different results at different coords. Times can be ensured with delays, space is limited in a small area.
A technique I used a lot on a world with friends is rain, riptide, and timing, cause you can reload the launch as your being launched so you can straight up combo your friends into oblivion and make it hard for them to hit you, at least with controller
Additionally Minecraft PS3 era when they were first introduced they could have sword enchantments then bring that to a updated version so it will do more damage that stacked with fire aspect knock back and more.
It’s even more OP, because if you use a trident killer and are holding a Looting sword, the looting effect is applied to the trident kills. Mob grinders give sooooo much loot AFK it’s amazing
Forgot to mention mobs killed by trident killers count as player kills, meaning they drop xp and get the looting affect if the player that threw it is holding a looting sword
Learning how rare tridents are in Java makes me love Bedrock all the more, ngl. One of my go-to early-game weapons is a trident, purely because it's so easy to get one early on.
something you can do also is if you get a bunch of loyalty tridents you can keep on throwing them when your inventory is full and as you do that you're going to get a bunch of them all around you the next as you throw a trident you're going to have another one to throw consistently
Also although im not sure if its patched yet but if you have a looting enchantment on your sword after throwing your trident if you switched to your sword the looting effect applies to the trident. So if you have a trident killer and you hold a looting 3 sword the trident will have the looting effect too.
Something more op about trident’s not depending in bedrock is that you can use them in afk farms, they’re called “trident killers” and the best part is, because it’s YOUR trident that’s doing damage mobs drop their xp, so you can make a fully automatic xp mob farm super easily
Also on bedrock, whenever it is raining you can hit a copper rod with a channeling trident and always get lightning, regardless if a storm is happening or not
Also on bedrock u can make trident killers for something like a piglin farm, by throwing it onto a piston that gets pushed around in a circle. Also side note, I’m pretty sure bedrock didn’t get the combat update (besides shields) because bedrock used to be pocket edition, and if ur a mobile player purposely delaying your attacks would be clunky and weird so I think they decided to leave it out, sucks for ps4/xbox users tho that got dragged into it

When you leave when you throw a loyalty trident the trident will float on the ground while other players cannot pick it up but when the player who throwed it joins again the Trident will cone back to him.
As I bedrock player I can confirm that tridents can be used for a trident killer, but as you had said previously you said that they don’t despawn which is false, it just takes a long time and ends up breaking a lot of our farms.

Swords in bedrock don't have cool down either,so a netherite sword is still better since you can put sharpness on it

Also, if you hang a wall sign up, get a trident with channeling, throw it on the wall sign and then anything that walks under it get struck by lightning. Thats what I’ve heard test it out
The fact that tridents don't despawn on Bedrock means that you can make a simple contraption that bounces a channeling trident on a slime block to continually strike a lightning rod

At least when I used to play years ago. Bedrock was just simplified. Granted they have "improved" it. But the Redstone mechanics are wack. It's overall coded far worse and has alot more bugs. It's insainly microtransactioned. Whereas Java has bassically none.
Bedrock is littterally just knockoff minecraft to scam 5yos into buying skins. Notice Bedrock pretends you have to buy skins. And java let's you just upload a jpeg. Bedrock is just a cash grab unfortunately. And you can see that it's been designed around that. I would never let my kid play Bedrock.

What I do that I think is really funny, is that I throw my loyalty trident somewhere and then I fill up my inventory with something else so I can’t pick it up. The trident just floats around you until your inventory is empty😂
Imagine throwing some tridents and filling ur inventory so that the tridents roam around you But instead of being harmless the tridents actually damages any mobs they come in contact with..

You didn't mention than on top of being useful for killing mobs when pushed around by pistons, those mobs also count as being killed by the player

On Bedrock, you used to be able to add sharpness V to tridents, they also dealt as much damage as netherite sword BEFORE netherite even existed.
The trident killers are even more op than you may realize. Since it’s registered as player kills, it will drop XP, allowing for an AFK XP farm

Trident killers are probably the best thing about bedrock, you can build insanely fast farms, and if you hold a looting sword in your hand the effect applies to the tridents, so you can effectively get triple the loot
This is true and I have been a Bedrock player for most of my life playing Minecraft, but I also always dreamed of playing Java Edition due to how the game just feels and runs smoothly with better mechanics and gameplay Imo. Java has so many upsides, but it also lacks some things that might be present in Bedrock edition and would make Java Edition perfect if they were implemented.
I played Bedrock for 8 years, finally bought java today and that was a solid no.
Shaders and Mods are great tho, 9.5/10.

Java does NOT run smoother. Bedrock is designed for weaker devices so it’s gonna run better. I’ve had more lag spikes and crashes on a good computer running java than on an old iPhone. Bedrock running on windows is buttery smooth and that crazy render distance is amazing. The lack of proper shaders and mods sucks though.

I personally think Java does some things better then bedrock and bedrock does some things better then Java. For example I think Java pvp is overall better and more fun but pistons ins bedrock can move chest and stuff

Java redstone also feels cleaner. But bedrock resstone doesn’t break in water which is great and bedrocks code isn’t spaghetti

- personally, I don't like first-person camera movement in java.

- bedrock redstone is pretty much more intuitively than the java on. It's just that intuition is a *relative concept*... You don't have knowledge about bedrock redstone, which leads to you evaluating it incorrectly, which is also some of the reasons why java players have difficulty understanding bedrock's redstone.
Bedrock Redstone doesn't have an update order like Java, and that's good! You don't need to design a system to control chaos, save memory, and not make redstone locationality. Redstone shouldn't make different results at different coords. Times can be ensured with delays, space is limited in a small area.
A technique I used a lot on a world with friends is rain, riptide, and timing, cause you can reload the launch as your being launched so you can straight up combo your friends into oblivion and make it hard for them to hit you, at least with controller
Additionally Minecraft PS3 era when they were first introduced they could have sword enchantments then bring that to a updated version so it will do more damage that stacked with fire aspect knock back and more.
It’s even more OP, because if you use a trident killer and are holding a Looting sword, the looting effect is applied to the trident kills. Mob grinders give sooooo much loot AFK it’s amazing
Forgot to mention mobs killed by trident killers count as player kills, meaning they drop xp and get the looting affect if the player that threw it is holding a looting sword
Learning how rare tridents are in Java makes me love Bedrock all the more, ngl. One of my go-to early-game weapons is a trident, purely because it's so easy to get one early on.

something you can do also is if you get a bunch of loyalty tridents you can keep on throwing them when your inventory is full and as you do that you're going to get a bunch of them all around you the next as you throw a trident you're going to have another one to throw consistently

Also although im not sure if its patched yet but if you have a looting enchantment on your sword after throwing your trident if you switched to your sword the looting effect applies to the trident. So if you have a trident killer and you hold a looting 3 sword the trident will have the looting effect too.
That doesn't seem OVERpowered, just more powerful.
Something more op about trident’s not depending in bedrock is that you can use them in afk farms, they’re called “trident killers” and the best part is, because it’s YOUR trident that’s doing damage mobs drop their xp, so you can make a fully automatic xp mob farm super easily
Also on bedrock, whenever it is raining you can hit a copper rod with a channeling trident and always get lightning, regardless if a storm is happening or not

Also on bedrock u can make trident killers for something like a piglin farm, by throwing it onto a piston that gets pushed around in a circle. Also side note, I’m pretty sure bedrock didn’t get the combat update (besides shields) because bedrock used to be pocket edition, and if ur a mobile player purposely delaying your attacks would be clunky and weird so I think they decided to leave it out, sucks for ps4/xbox users tho that got dragged into it

When you leave when you throw a loyalty trident the trident will float on the ground while other players cannot pick it up but when the player who throwed it joins again the Trident will cone back to him.

As I bedrock player I can confirm that tridents can be used for a trident killer, but as you had said previously you said that they don’t despawn which is false, it just takes a long time and ends up breaking a lot of our farms.

You can also combine impaling with riptide on bedrock and the impaling actually increases the riptide damage😊
