  • How to change a heater/blower motor in a 2009 Mazda 5. I made this after watching someone else's clickbait video that turned out being for a CX5 which is completely different from these things.

    Great video man. I’m dealing with the same problem now. I appreciate you taking the time to chronicle everything you had to deal with. 👍

      By the way, I will never buy a Mazda again. This car has given me nothing but headaches from the start.

    That’s a pretty rare Mazda 5 with a manual transmission!

      I used to have one with a manual. It was pretty fun to zip around in!

    That looks like a pretty big job! Do you find working on the Mazda to be quite a bigger project than the Mirage?

      @turdpailsandtrails  7 месяцев назад

      Yes, the heater motor in a mirage takes 5 mins to replace.

    I could not find, let alone remove the top nut on the brake pedal braket. I also have a 09 Mazda5 M/T. With gas pedal removed, I was able to access the blower motor with my left hand, while laying on my back. By feel I was able to release the retainer ring, wiring connector and cooling tube. Also reassembled fore mentioned parts on the new blower assembly. I'm not saying it was easy, working completely blind by feel. But I honestly don't know how I would have removed the brake pedal. Consider giving this method at try before you waste hours trying to remove the brake pedal. Good luck - this repair is a SOB!

    Hello. How do I replace the heater radiator on a Mazda 5? Or is there a way to clean it?

    hi I feel bad asking you for advice here my short since you have several videos on CVTs I have a headache. asked the technician at Toyota and he does not want to do my cvt oil change he told me that it is good for life... and that there is no point in changing the oil 💀 I have 83,000 km and I have no one to tell me the truth but they ended up telling me... we have already done it for cvts which last as long as in cold weather and intensive use the worst is that I fill all these conditions. according to you where I can be trusted to do a job well done I don't trust dealers and I want to do at least 250,000 km on my Corolla, no place in my town is a good mechanic and he contradicts himself or he refuses the job. I looked at other youtubers for this transmission Weberauto and The Car care nuts but they are in the USA and I don't prefer to do it myself anyway thank you

      When changing the fluid in a transmission, it is CRUCIAL to measure every drop of fluid that comes out and put that EXACT same amount of fluid back in. Transmissions NEED that exact amount of oil, to lubricate, to cool and to have the proper pressure inside etc. I only recommend the vehicle's dealership to do this service.

    Wow, all that work, time and effort and it just needed a resistor which is about a 10 minute job!
    I lost heat (blower motor) last winter on my 2008 Mazda5. I jumped the resistor connector pins and it worked so I just replaced the resistor and that fixed it. I also replaced the cabin air filters at the same time.
    But yeah, this car is a pain to work on!

    • @turdpailsandtrails
      @turdpailsandtrails  2 месяца назад

      Nope...the blower motor was actually fubared. They kept trying to power on a seized motor and eventually burnt out the resistor.
      I'm sure a shop would have charged more than the car is worth to fix.

    That’s for making the video.. however the audio was really low and hard to hear you. Could you possibly edit all the bad parts and narrate the video?

    A year or two later the blower motors are now hanging down under the glove box. Like a 30 minute job with a couple common tools.
