ALSO it fitting under the seat will entirely depend on the aircraft. So sometimes it absolutely will fit and sometimes not. I am not too concerned with this as I plan on using it as my main carryon for these trips, so if it needs to go in overhead that's fine by me. IMPORTANT UPDATE! I’ve now used it and IT FITS under the seat! At least it does on the Delta flights I’m usually on. Hurray!!

How exciting that you are able to travel with him more often in the coming year. I am so sorry your son was sick and not able to be with you. Our family was sick the week and a half before Christmas, first my kids then of course I got it, so our holiday season was not exactly what we planned either. I hope he is doing better now.

I set out a long-haul trip with a new leather shoulder bag (trendy travel item) No, just No, It got so heavy on the first leg. I ended up in the Tumi Duty Free in LA and bought the Oxford bag. I love it! I took it all the way to Fiji, and Australia. It was so perfect, light, it held everything I needed for a long flight. Great Purchase!
Seriously it's something you don't even think about (the weight of the bag before you fill it) but it's such a big deal!

Because of a medical condition, I bought one of the smaller underseat bags, the Eagle Creek Adventure Wheeled Tote Carry-on, Size: 14 x 13 x 7 inches, two wheels, but it would not fit some of the spaces underneath the seat. Now I just bring a soft Longchamp Le Pliage large travel bag, but I do sometimes still wish for a wheeled bag.
It was so stinking satisfying when those clothes perfectly fit. Love the bag and can't wait to hear more about your shorter travels with Scott!

My husband works in flight ops for his airline and they recently started flights from our local smaller airport to Honolulu. The planes had been half empty for the past several weeks, so we hopped on a flight on Wednesday, spent 35 hours in Hawaii and got back on the flight home. Granted, it was an insane amount of flying for someone not used to it, but we felt fortunate to get to do something as crazy as that just after Christmas. Me, my husband and our 19 yo son. Take advantage of all the travel you can. Non-rev is a nice perk . . . When it works!! 😉
That was so much fun . . . Now I want one! 😊

My two adult children were both not home for Christmas for the first time ever this year and it was a little sad. One was sick and the other moved away. My 18 year old loved being the only child Christmas morning.
I knew it would happen eventually but yeah it was sad.😢

Yeesh, my husband & I had covid through Christmas last year, super bummer, but tbh a lovely quiet Christmas for us all, tho separately. Did Christmas on New Year, so that was nice. We made it healthfully through this one, but really feel for you!! Next year will be better!

Definitely a beautiful and functional bag. However, I only want an underseater for meds, book, jewelry and travel documents so I researched the smallest I could find. Ordered a London Fog 15.5 by 13 by 7.
Only 2 wheels but ok for me. It arrived last week and I’m excited to use it.
Under seat space is seemingly getting smaller. If this does fit it is great! I have a Tumi backpack and love it. I am going to investigate this bag for sure. Thanks. Happy New Year🎉
I recently went on a 5-day trip (with a very old soft-sided carry-on that fits under a seat and works for me!). I used Samantha Brown's genius idea and bought two contact lens cases (four little containers) to use for day and night face creams, eye cream, and hair product. I used little round stickers for labels. As you have noted, you don't use as much as you think, and I returned home with some of each product left. It is truly a perfect solution for travelling light. Was so excited to try it out and have it work so well. --- Happy New Year, Jen!

Very nice bag, many happy travels with it. If you want to keep the wheels clean. Amazon sells wheel covers. Another RUclips mentioned them and I bought a set.

As much as I love this bag, it doesn't hold as much as I need. I purchased the Briggs and Riley Rhapsody Cabin Spinner carry-on. I only used it once so far. I'd be very interested in your take on it as well. I really liked your style of review and packing. I think the B & R holds more and is cheaper yet still well made. I JUST got this bag (in eggplant colour!) at the Toronto Duty Free in Oct for my trip to Japan - I LOVE it! It is small, so I need to be careful with packing. I need to fit in my travel CPAP machine, a small thermos for meds that need to be cold, and my noise cancelling headphones - so that takes up a lot of room. There is still room for a tiny bit of clothing so it will work for a very short trip
I never knew there was such a thing as a travel CPAP. Will investigate.

I have a much older model of this bag. There was a RUclips video showing a lady fitting everything she needed for week in the Caribbean…I bought on a TUMI sale. I have yet to fit that much, but your new model has some great features that mine does not have. I plan to use for an upcoming trip. Thanks for the reminder of the trolley strap. Sorry about your son being sick with Covid. Similar to us this year. I got Covid and had to cancel Christmas plans with my mom. But her 81st birthday is about a month away so my husband and I will (hopefully) get to spend time with her then. PS Love that bag.
That bag looks stunning and super functional! I recently bought the Take OFF hard sided luggage that can go go under the seat in front if you take off the wheels. While the space is great, you can’t easily access the contents inside. I would have invested in this had I seen it. I love the Tumi brand, my checked luggage is by Tumi.

I have an under the seat roller bag that I bought for when I check a bag. My shoulders can’t handle a tote or backpack. I never thought of using only that bag for a trip! I’m interested to hear your thoughts after travelling with it!

I have been using same size bag, good and pack well organized, BUT, does not fit under seat. Or if it does, it gets on the way of the footrest. Most of the time, it ended up in the stowage bin. Used on long haul trips. Mine is the older model with velvet lined pocket for jewelry and other pockets that are practical.
Tumi products are the best. I have several of them from backpacks to purses, crossover bags.

Put together two “cabin bags” for sis in law (who was traveling xmas day) & step mom (who travels regularly) for gifts, they loved them. All the goodies in there, like wipes, hand cream, travel toothbrushes, etc. perfect, thx to you mostly 🤗

You deserve it! We are still firmly in the "it takes lots of logistics for us to get a night away" season. We have 4 days away coming up next year and there's already a childcare & animal care roster!
The main problem for me is where do I put my feet. I landed up using the overhead space.

I have never seriously considered Tumi, purely due to cost, but wow is this a great option! I almost exclusively do weekend trips (probably 90% of the time) and I always lug a pretty, but heavy duffel type bag. This would be SO much more convenient
This. I know they’re a lot but I tried a cheaper bag first and this one is definitely worth the money! They also have a five year warranty and great customer service.

What a beautiful bag! When you have such a last minute travel opportunity (like an hour), how you arrange care for the pups? Asking because I would also like to travel more spontaneously, but having pets hinders that greatly.
One of my sons is currently living here so that's why I'm able to travel last minute. I GET THIS. We've not always had live in care for them and that's a huge issue.
They sell these in the airport in San Juan Puerto Rico, and there's no sales tax-but I didn't buy one, that was several years ago

How did it work out? Wondering if it would hold my backpack on top of it, with a strap of course. Flying Delta to France but once i get to Paris, need to continue on to Montpelier, Southern France on probably a smaller plane. First time there so I’m not sure about the under seat space.
It DID fit under the seat! I've taken it on two trips now and no problem either time.
Love this bag! I am so tempted to get it now. I feel like an underseat bag is the perfect use case for a wide trolley (like Level 8) because it would make packing the side with clothes that much easier.

Will it fit underneath the seat of most planes? I fly Delta mostly also, and the smaller planes don’t seem to have space for that size bag underneath the seat or in overhead. It is a lovely bag…and since you aren’t paying for the flight with your hubbie it looks like a win-win!
On smaller commuter or regional jets it probably will not but according to their website it should on larger main fleet planes. I’ll let you know onsite once I’ve taken it on a trip

In the US we do not have a weight limit for carry on. I know most other countries do though!

Does it ever bug you that your luggage isn’t all matching? We just got an Away suitcase but it doesn’t match our carry-ons. But I guess if you don’t usually travel with multiple suitcases it’s moot.

Hi- I am thinking to purchase this based on your review. But one thing. The front pocket adjacent to the laptop sleeves. Does it fit charger, headset and 3-1-1 bag? I just want to see if these things fit as this is Sth I usually need handy (without opening the major compartment) and 3-1-1 easy access in security. Thank you so much!
the best thing I can recommend is visiting one of their stores (they're in most major airports) and taking a look for yourself. It works for what I need but no way to know the size of all your things.

I was told by a flight attendant once that anything with wheels can’t go under the seat…
Many companies sell under the seat bags with wheels and I have personally seen them. So she may have been mistaken. They do probably have to be flat so they can’t roll.
Oh wow, I love luggage. This suitcase is lush - although it's pricey.
I live in the UK, sometimes travelling via EasyJet (45 x 36 x 20 cm) & Ryan Air (40x20x25cm) These airlines are strict & I think currently have free, under seat personal allowances I've mentioned above. So this is interesting
