I was in the audience. My first ever Epica concert. One to never forget!

Hmm i was waiting in the car outside it was cold as hell ... but my daughter was in with her friend ... Who i had given my ticket ... lol Stupid me but than it was her first concert with a friend ... So yes daddy knew his place .....

Its s shame that when these phenomenal bands come to American, they usually end up playing in a club to about 400 to 600 people. I saw Epica in 2016 in Atlanta in a club with about 500 people. Devin Townsend Project in 2017 in a club with 350 people. Tells ya there's a severe lack of promotion in the U.S. for groups like this. Really hope this all turns around in my lifetime.
That's because there's no radio or commerical promotion. Clear Channel is thank for a lot of that. But American music companies only want pop tarts they can make money off of. That's why country has gone to shit.
The American male attention span is like that of a gnat. 3 minutes tops, I really feel sorry for American females.
Yeah, I met Simone and Mark at the state theater in st Petersburg Fl. They are my favorite band and seeing them with only like 100 ppl there was incredible
She was around 3 months pregnant back then and she sang a 3 hours show.
I remeber watching it online, since I was equally as far pregnant as Simone ( eventualy we even gave birth on the same day) but I was too nauseous to stand in the audiance all night. It was fun though...together with the other online spectators, we were guessing whether the belly was a pregnant one :)

@@sonjaemery Simone said, "by the end of last year (2012) I discovered I was pregnant". You just can see a little belly in the show, if she was 5 month pregnant it would have been pretty big by then.
Simone sounds so angelic in this song. She really hits the feels. I’d like this song 100 times if I could.

I wasn't in this audience but I have seen them live in a small venue in Salt Lake City with Lacuna Coil (another amazing band worth watching). It doesn't matter the size of the crowd they bring it every time. And yes, it was amazing. Also, I've been listening to Epica for decades now, and this is still my favorite song by them. Thanks for checking it out!

Epica is EPIC I'm 63 I've heard alot of music from many different genres some of the best long living music but symphonic metal has fn stolen my heart epica, nightwish, edenbridge, leah,within temptation, visions of Atlantis, leaves eyes, after forever in the 60s we had the British invasion of music today its the European invasion. Of excellent quality endearing powerful music

We were standing, not sitting..... unfortunately, on the BluRay/DVD of the Retrospect Show, the intro movie is missing..... a lot of famous musicians gave their greetz to Epica for their tenth anniversary. According to Rob van der Loo, the bass player, due to technical problems, they weren't able to record the intro properly....
