Argentina, the darling of the world... from africa to asia from europe to americas Argentina were people's favorites.... the little man from Rosario, the twinkle feet Messi is the key for the lovefest.... congratulation Argentinaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!
It’s easy to forget how close Argentina came to losing throughout this World Cup. Lost their first match to KSA, then had a tight match with Mexico to stay in. Went to PKs with Netherlands after a ferocious comeback which went down to the 5th kick, then more PKs against France after a top tier performance by Mbappe. Martinez also barely saved a potential game-winning goal in a 1v1 situation in the final. There were so many points where they could’ve lost but pulled through. Shoutout to Martinez who came up huge every time.
Mentioning a top tier perfomance by Mbape like Argentine didn't play France off the park for like 75 mins. Argentine had arguably overall the better game and imo deserved to win. Yes that Martinez save was goated but alone in the last 5 minutes Argentine with Lautaro had several similar golden opportunities to close the match before PK.
Argentina was still superior (vastly in most cases) to every opponent. Even against France. If France had bothered to show up before the 75th minute, then maybe they might have scored an extra goal and avoided going into over time...but the french remembered a little to late and by the time they finally did show up, their accuracy, energy and speed, affected by having to go into ot, limited their possibilities. But yes Argentina had a few weaker moments that maybe superior team tha1n then might have been able to take advantage off. Fortunately, there were no superior teams to Argentina, so the cup is well earned. The best team won....that's all that matters.
@@bawomanI don't think France came in late to the game, what happened is that Scaloni was able to read the game outstandingly well and managed to "tame the beast". That lasted until Di Maria and De Paul had to be subbed out due to the sheer exhaustion and physical impact keeping France tamed had on them. Immediately after they were subbed the game changed, with France having spaces to breathe and create danger. Scaloni deserves so much more praise for how he strategized that final. France was always a menace, they were always in the game, but he found a way to neutralize it.

@@toni_sushi7164 It still was an incredible performance by mbappe. Him not doing anything for most of the game isn't all on him. France just couldn't get the ball to him most of the time. There are several world class players that barely get a touch and then the moment they get a chance they capitalize on it. Ronaldo comes to mind. There have been many games where he has done nothing then the next thing you know he has 2-3 goals in 2-3 touches. That's what world class players do. For mbappe to do that is incredible and 2 penalties and 1 in the shootout scored shows great composure. @@emperormouse5487 messi is exception dude, he is best of this sport, watching him makes you admirer, he is the reason that i watch this sport, no other player made that impact
Fun facts about Messi :
--the last time Argentina won a world cup, Messi wasn't born yet (1987)
- scored more goals in his 5th and last WC than in his previous 4 participations together
- He didn't shoot a single penalty till his 5th wc, in which he scored 4
-Surpassed Pelés goals with his brace in the final (13 goals)
-Scored his last goal with the right foot
-became the top goal generator in the history of world cups (21 goals + assists)
Messi's goal Against Mexico, Pass to Molina and Alvarez's goal against Croatia were my favorite moments
Leo and Kylian going at it in the Final is just amazing!
Argentina, the darling of the world...
from africa to asia
from europe to americas
Argentina were people's favorites....
the little man from Rosario, the twinkle feet Messi is the key for the lovefest....
congratulation Argentinaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!
Yeah, but Argentina was very superior to all its rivals.
Mbappe??😅😅😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣
@@bawomanI don't think France came in late to the game, what happened is that Scaloni was able to read the game outstandingly well and managed to "tame the beast". That lasted until Di Maria and De Paul had to be subbed out due to the sheer exhaustion and physical impact keeping France tamed had on them. Immediately after they were subbed the game changed, with France having spaces to breathe and create danger.
Scaloni deserves so much more praise for how he strategized that final. France was always a menace, they were always in the game, but he found a way to neutralize it.
What a great WC this was! Even if France would've won it I still think it was a great WC. Even better than 82 and 86 which were both magical
I feel like France winning would have ruined it. I hope I never witness a back-to-back World Cup win in my lifetime
@@cs4155 why not?
@@vinnicinhus44 Imagine waiting 4 years for the World Cup only to watch the same guys who won it last time lift it again. That's only fun if you're from that country that won.
@@cs4155 not really.
If they win it again, means they are playing good football.
I live for good football. That's why I watch the world cup.
@@vinnicinhus44 Nah winning doesn't mean you played good football. France were trash for 75 minutes and almost ended up winning it. That's not good football.

"NO CHANCE FOR MARTINEZ"
Martinez: literally had a chance and almost saved it
Fox commentators have always been trash.
Yeah, Fox commentators were awful. It's like they've listened to other commentators in Europe and copied their lines without knowing how to implement them. Nearly the whole of Fox's tv personalities lacked any creativity.
He didn’t. If he did, he would have blocked it

Imagine hat trick in WC final being 2nd. What a tournament.
it wasnt anything special tbh, the 2nd goal was nice tho
@@toni_sushi7164 He had 3 goals in WC finals, and that was not anything special?
@@clearview211 2 were pens, his 2nd goal was an absolute beauty tho, i just feel like ppl r really overrating his performance, he was a ghost for 80 mins when he was only being marked by 1 guy, ppl r acting like he was dominating the entire game when that was not the case at all
@@toni_sushi7164 I totally agree , not to mention he disappeared on all the other knockout rounds he had moments in the final but he wasn't playing well all 120 minutes of it both penalties he had nothing to do with the contribution other than scoring it
@@toni_sushi7164 It still was an incredible performance by mbappe. Obviously it would been more amazing if his hattrick didn't involve any penalties, but it's still crazy that he scored a hattrick in the final.

they didn't mention Messi's goal vs Mexico or his assist against Netherlands and Croatia . Emi Martinez save against Australia and the last-minute save against France overall this world cup will live in my memory for a long time
Missed so many great moments. Messi vs Mexico is one of the greatest wc moments oat, Messi’s assists vs both the netherlands and croatia are the assists of the tournament and the one against netherlands is one of the greatest I have ever seen in a world cup.
Yeah they added the Ronaldo thing for fan service and left some actual great moments out
Emi Martinez 123rd minute save was by far the greatest moment for me!
