My mommy used to sing me that song when she was cooking and i was playing with my little boy toys.. now i bet she's singing it in heaven with god for me to hear her into my dreams inside my heart..
I'm a Mexican that lives in Nocupetaro Michoacán México...I lived un The states fior about 10 years one day while I was working I was singing this song in spanish, one american man started to sing the same song in English ....since this day I love the cotton fields with the Creedence, and I like all their songs...One day on the future I'm going to travel trhought the united states driving My truck and singing the Creedence...
I remember this song so much! My papa would play this on his cassette and I was a kid... how he would rock me to sleep. Happy, happy kiddie moments! :D
I was raised in Arizona and I have picked and chopped cotton many, many times...my family did it together and we made a game of it lol. We would see who could get to the end of the row where the water bucket was first..believe me in the hot Arizona sun you want that water! We worked hard and long days but at the end of the day it was all worth it. Thank you and God Bless
You think the song "Cotton Fields" is RACIST ??? Your skin is so thin you must be neither black nor white; you're CLEAR. My mother picked cotton from sun-up 'til sun-down as a child. She loved to play her guitar and sing this song as I was growing up. She's a little-bitty lady from North Carolina, and HER skin is white as snow. Mom absolutely loved the CCR version of this tune back in the 1970s and would often accompany them on her piano. These chronically "offended" ass-wipes who find racism or some other-ism in the most innocuous of things are beginning to become offensive... smelling.
Very different lirycs in Spanish version when I was a youn man, my mom told me, If you looking for a girlfriend, don’t look for her so pretty because over the time it takes off, look for love, nothing more than love
When I was a liitle bit of baby ICE police took me south in them ooooooold Ford Explorer back home, it was down in El Paso, Texas just about a mile from El Chamizal in them oooooold Ford Explorer back home :v

Your momma... is a good American. Good humble folk come out of the south and we work hard and complain little.
yoloswag4200blazeit Dam hippies and their idiotic politically correct stuff !
+Douglas Smith I live in Argentina, love CCR and cannot even imagine anything evil about this beautiful song. By the way, nice story about your mom.
I feel like youre preaching. So, in that case, Say it loud, Say it proud!
plus CCR were hippies ie very left-wing and anti prejudice

Those 105 people are allergic to cottons
Those 222 people are triggered people from 2018 that like to pull the racist card on just about anything apparently.
Reminds me back those days of my young age
Very different lirycs in Spanish version when I was a youn man, my mom told me, If you looking for a girlfriend, don’t look for her so pretty because over the time it takes off, look for love, nothing more than love
