it's been several months later, but I still can't stop listening to this song. It just reminds me so much of summer 2020, particularly the feeling of staying indoors (bc, y'know, covid) and replaying this song when it released at midnight..then replaying it as I went grocery shopping the following morning. Redeye is very catchy with superb production, it's just so badass and cool that I thought for sure it'd be my fave from this album. But this song...there's something about this song. It feels very bittersweet and nostalgic. That part at 2:14 is so intense, honest. When I hear it, I wanna dance but, also low-key, cry?? It makes me sad for something that I didn't necessarily experience in real life. Maybe I'm overthinking it lol, but regardless, this album was one of my highlights in 2020, a happiness that was desperately needed during such a harsh year.
