I had a KLV 400 some years ago and really liked it, they're a good looking amplifier. I was able to talk to the U.K. on it sometimes from the central U.S. with just a mobile magnet mount antenna sitting on top of a metal shed.

Nice advice. I've found out that FM UKCB when I TX cuts out my TV signal totally. As it's a communal aerial I better fit a low pass filter.

I operate power on 10m (400W PEP) and have someone around the corner who operates on 11m. He'll ask if I'm running power, so when I am, I'll stop so that he can use his radio. Just be considerate. 😉

I have a local near me who does not care he runs a lot of power on 11 meter very dirty signal. I'm on 11 meter. I ask him if he is running power, he says no. I tell him something is wrong with his radio then because he is bleeding over all 40 channels. Then I later hear him telling another guy on skip he is running low power around 500 average LOL.The bad part is the guy keys up his Television or he goes on drunken rants about politics. I am .5 miles away from the guy. So if he is on the air I don't get to talk or do any of the other locals in a 40 mile radius. pretty sad people like him do that. As long as I can remember back to the early 90's there is always one.

I had a 1,000 watter rf cb amplifier. When i transmitted, not only was i heard on ch 38 but on channel 2 all the way up to passed ch 40 on AM and SSB lol....
Did i want to piss off my neighbors or other hams? absolutely not..im a ham by the way...
if my neighbor, or a ham came to me from the area and said hey buddy you are interfering with this and that, i would 100% put that filter in...of course i dont want conflict...i would not want interference when im on the ham bands...
But if no one complains, it's free for all...yes it is...
by the way i sold that 1kw rf amp..all i have now is the same rf amplifier in this video shown. No i dont have no filter and dont plan to put one on or even buy one...NO ONE COMPLAINED.
if anyone complains, i will 100% put one on...
that rf amp was so powerful and dirty that my voice only came through my wife's iphone speaker...
today all i have is my icom7300, icom7000 a dozen or so baofengs lol and a few of these rf amps..actually had 3, now 2...blew one cause i over driven it..
love the video, thumbs up 100X....amazing..

Yeah I've met quite a few hams, most of them are nice people that will help you. Then there are some that have a snarky attitude because they think they're smarter than "CB peasants"
I love the fact you are also a ham and still have love for the CB band, It's where most of us start.

Stick with legal power on the cb bands and you won’t interfere with tvs etc. That includes ham operators that come onto the cb band. Everyone I know using illegal power on CBS’s is a ham! Go figure! I thought they were the qualified intelligent people that looked down on cb and call US “muppets “!
