    There was a game near the end of the season, might have been Everton. We were winning, it was late on in the game, but this man was still chasing 20/80 balls, challenging and winning them. He's got power, pride and desire to keep doing better now, and we love him for it.

    A couple of clarifications:
    2:26 Mike Ashley was of course the owner, not the chatinnstilling
    6:50 Eddie Howe’s first game in charge was actually the 3-3 draw gainst Brentford 10 days earlier. He watched it from his hotel room due to covid

    I can honestly say I have never loved a football player as much as I love Joelinton. It just makes me happy to watch him play, especially knowing how much effort he’s put in to get to where he is. Vamos Joelinton!! 🖤🤍

    Crazy that Joelinton spent most of his life playing in the incorrect position, and only changed by complete chance. He’s an absolute beast in midfield

    What a fantastically well researched video.... as Newcastle fan I always see videos about Newcastle and think to myself these people don't know what they're talking about.... but this was brilliant

    • @badofcheese
      @badofcheese 11 месяцев назад

      It’s not that well researched. They refer to Ashley as the “chairman” and talk about Bruce approving the transfer like he had any say in the matter.

    • @srilankanguy8737
      @srilankanguy8737 11 месяцев назад +1

      @@badofcheese yeah most people who don't get corporate governance probably think chairman means the person who is at the head of the club so you can let that slide. Rafa was adamant that Rondon who had done fairly well was a third of the price, the rest could have been used to strengthen the squad. He knew Joelinton was not a striker. Clueless yes man Bruce didn't seem to give any push back at all so I guess you could say he allowed it to go through.
      Most foreigners who are not newcastle fans probably have no idea how terribly Ashley ran the club. The fact that this channel had a decent idea was impressive

    Mike Ashley had nothing to do with the signing of Joelinton decision. Steven Nickson, had to go to great lengths to persuade Lambias to sign him with the clubs money.

    I remember his first few games especially a pre season friendly at Hibs where he done everything but score even missed a couple of sitters and I said to my friend who is this clown but hats off to the lad he's worked his socks off to improve his game along with great work with Eddie and his coaching staff now in my opinion he is one of the best midfielder s in the premiership if not Europe well done again kidda

    I truly believe Mike Ashley's thought process was that after not spending much for years, the 40m would either prove to be a good deal and we get a great player or he can use it to prove he shouldn't spend a lot on transfers. Win-Win for him

    Joe Linton has a very domineering nickname among Chinese fans, ”Qiao Si ye”。The title "Ye" has a very subtle implication in China. It is a title that combines adoration, respect, and love that cannot be expressed in words.

  • @williamsoni
    @williamsoni 11 месяцев назад

    I can't hep thinking that there was some money under the table in this deal that went to Ashley hence the high sales price. Further, he wasn't helped by playing out of position in a struggling side.
    All of that said, I don't believe he ever griped to the media and he just did his best.
    The way everything has worked out for him since Eddie took over, I couldn't be more thrilled. He has turned into a monster and one whom the fans love because of everything he has gone through. My favorite moment from him was him running the length of the field away at Brentford to celebrate in front of the fans. I hope he stays with us until he retires. HTL.

    One point to remember from this is as much as Ashley made poor decisions, he will have had nothing to do with signing players. That will have been Lee Charnleys decision.

  • @Paul-sr7pr
    @Paul-sr7pr 11 месяцев назад

    Or maybe it had something to do with Sports Direct implementing SAP at the time which is a multimillion pound commitmrment and would you believe it Hoffenheims owner is one 0f its creators. Odd why Ashley suddenly wanted to overspend (something he is definitely not known for) on a relatively unknown Brazilian even after Rafa said no

    1 of the few times I say well played to Ashley. Benitez didn't fancy him, Ashley did. Now Im sure Ashley thought he would be a World Class forward and it was Howe who turned him into the beast of a CM that he is today, but still without Ashley persisting we wouldn't have him. Just threw up a little giving Ashley credit. Thanks Internet
