I’ve got an Audi e-tron 50 Quattro, beautiful car. While it isn’t as quick as a Tesla, or doesn’t have the range, everything else about it, is on another level IMO. Build quality and ride comfort far superior. Looks better too.
It is more expensive, does not fit 7, no supercharger, no autopilot, much lower range, lower speed, no videogame mode, no Netflix, no camping mode, no DOG/BABY safe mode, no panoramic glass top, no fart mode... for me the math is very simple... it is 6 years behind Tesla if you consider the new models being lauched right now.
Slightly looks like an enlarged ford focus from the side, though overall seems to have many design cues from the Urus; not surprised here as they've been borrowing from their imported brands a few times.
Ikr also only 503 hp and 240 miles range which is garbage compared to teslas. I don't want a tesla but the competition is taking sooo long to catch up its annoying. Audi basically put bricks in it to make it weigh 2.7 tonnes. And for the price anyone would want to get a petrol car instead

For me it just doesn't look good. It looks heavy and over-designed, like the designers didn't know when to stop adding bits and pieces everywhere. I'm not a big Fan of Teslas super-minimalistic design too, but a middle-ground like the new C-Class for example just feels way more desireable for me personally, it looks more "naturally elegant" and well thought trough.
i love it personally. Far more interesting than the blobby eqc and almost toned down when compared to the ix or whatever BMW's equivalent is being called. That said, to be fair to it, people will buy the Sportback for the slightly more aggressive over-styled look in comparison to a standard non s line e Tron so i think the added styling parts is justified to a certain degree. And I am not a fan of the c class, the outgoing model yes, but the brand new one no thanks. Feels like Mercedes is going backwards with its design philosophy lately which is a shame. Brilliant cars but styling wise internally and externally its not for me but again brilliant cars. Sorry this is long, could go on for hours talking about design

You forgot to mention the virtual mirrors that replace the standard mirrors in favor of screens on the inside (also reduces drag and increases range slightly). Really changes the look, when I first worked on those it was a bit strange but now its just funny.

So misleading when you say you can charge it in 30 minutes. The amount of true 150kw chargers in the wild is tiny and most of them share multiple chare points.
Maybe something of lesser interest for the English buyers : this car rocks in snow conditions. It also turns ‘flat’ when driving in very tight curves. The car is very nice looking and not many are actually on the roads, quite the opposite to Tesla cars. If you can charge at home then it is fine to have such heavy power consumption vehicle, if not then look for cars with more autonomy.
We can’t have the full power at all times for 2 main probable reasons. 1. Motor tech isn’t sufficient enough as of yet to be able to use full power at a constant rate w/o burning them out fairly quickly. And 2. Having that much power available at a constant would both use up the batteries charge as well as wear out the batteries storing capabilities really quite quickly, as battery tech is also something we are not quite at a level with where they could handle extreme’s in stress as well as we’d want rn. There are prob other reasons as well but to me, those would be the most significant.

Looks nice but too many quality issues (see you tube videos) and poor customer backup. Plus VW/ Audi have performed very poor in reliability and customer satisfaction surveys. When it comes to luxury cars my hard earned would always be invested in a Lexus. Hybrid is the way to go at the moment as the infrastructure for electric cars in the UK is dire to say the least.
the Ioniq 5 which is at least a full category below the etron sportback in terms of size and price has a towing limit of 1.6 tons - only 200kg less. It offers about the same charging speed and due to it being lighter drives further on one charge and that with a smaller battery...

Got them on my Etron S Sportback and regretted choosing that option. Flat image doesn’t help understanding the surrounding plus, condensation between the camera and the glass creates glare and « fog » on the screen. No wonder why you don’t see them on the new GT or upcoming Q4 Etron

Honestly I am quite unimpressed with the e tron sport back s. You would expect some really good handling characteristics due to the tri motor setup, and some good power but neither of those are there. It’s quick yes but not what you’d expect from a tri motor car. Plus its very very expensive, and not much different than a regular e tron 55. Hard sell imo.
Model x definetely quicker only when the battery is above 80% whereas these Germany EV's power is always constant even the battery is at 10%. Tesla needs to improve on their interior and exterior design it's just dull to look at it.but still it's a great car

Even that “consider” Tucson has reclining seats and softer material on rear doors, rear climate zone, fully opening rear windows with blinds & levers to fold seats from the boot...be good if Audi copied it into their car 3x the price

Got them on my Etron S Sportback and regretted choosing that option. Flat image doesn’t help understanding the surrounding plus, condensation between the camera and the glass creates glare and « fog » on the screen. No wonder why you don’t see them on the new GT or upcoming Q4 Etron
It's an option and I don't think they're available in every country due to regulations.
They're a good idea just put in the wrong place, the screens needed to be higher up

Honestly I am quite unimpressed with the e tron sport back s. You would expect some really good handling characteristics due to the tri motor setup, and some good power but neither of those are there. It’s quick yes but not what you’d expect from a tri motor car. Plus its very very expensive, and not much different than a regular e tron 55. Hard sell imo.

Model x definetely quicker only when the battery is above 80% whereas these Germany EV's power is always constant even the battery is at 10%. Tesla needs to improve on their interior and exterior design it's just dull to look at it.but still it's a great car
