I love that the band came together because of their voices. When they scouted for the members, they looked for the "voice" that will fit perfectly into the group. It's like their looks just came as a bonus. They happen to be all cute boys.
I was a bsb fan growing up. But now as an adult I see just how talented **NSYNC was. I totally see how they thought they were better because they actually were.

Also, when you factor in their overall performances, not just singing alone but how they creatively utilized the stage w/out relying too much on theatrics (like tons of backup dancers to help carry their shows like other artists) AND given how JC is often credited as the Best Male Vocalist to come out of ANY boyband, how can you objectively say BSB is better than NSYNC overall? BSB may be your more favorite band, and there’s nothing wrong w/that because they have a lot of memorable catchy songs, but NSYNC overall are the better talent when you compare the two groups objectively.

When you compare them pound for pound, NSYNC is cohesive, they have tighter harmonies and a rounded sound which becomes more evidenced when you hear them sing acapella versus Backstreet’s acapella, which at best is either pretty good, but never consistent, for example Howie jumping around losing his place and singing other people’s parts. When you listen to Backstreet, all you really hear are four Tenors and a Baritone. The only other vocal group as close to NSYNC that has a complete harmonic sound structure (that is consistent) is Pentatonix. NSYNC is truly remarkable because Chris Kirkpatrick’s Countertenor and Lance’ Bass makes all the difference.

This was something the members used to say. They got to have fun while JC took things seriously. I've recently became a fan throughout lockdown...being from the UK I grew up in the 90's loving Boyzone and Westlife....I still love them but I've recently found love for NSync
I've noticed that in The UK there's always a Market for Boy Bands/Girlbands and Co-Ed Groups. They also look at Talent, Not Color. Some of them went through more H@ll than their US Counterparts. When "Gone" came out so to speak, I knew it was the beginning of the end, Justin showed he was the "Star" of The Group.
I have also started listening to and appreciating NSYNC since the lockdown. I am so disappointed that I will never get to see them perform, especially JC😢, I wish I could go back in time 20 years and attend one of their shows...

Aside from "I Want You Back" being their debut single and not "Tearin' Up My Heart" I think this was a solid documentary. I think 9/11 was what really made pop groups less popular. Suddenly everything had to be more gritty, and making music that made you feel happy was less in vogue.
Their show was literally the best I've ever seen to date. The high energy, the charisma, it was nonstop from beginning to end. No one put on a show like them. NO ONE
their manager is an idiot. He could have more money if he didnt create a fan war for these two awesome boy band, they could have a collab during their prime and Fans will go crazy. My friends and i could do every dance move on all their music videos. I would take a VHS tape and record every music video that came on. Back then it was TRL that had all the music videos. I disagree completely. Joey is fun on reality shows like Pawn Stars and Impractical Jokers, but he's a much better singer. He's actually my favorite in the group, right after JC.
Several reminders from a die hard Nsync fan: 1. The Beatles are NOT a boyband. They are a rock band. Present tense intended.. 2. The Backstreet Boys are and were extremely dedicated to their music, although they still need to make a damn Christmas album Lol 3. Justin Timberlake is and always was a tremendous talent. Most Nsync fans are just butt hurt that Nsync did not get back together, with or without him, myself included. 4. Ugh...in retrospect, this "bio:" is so incomplete and glossed over. Nothing about how the name N'Sync came to be, or the member namedJason who left and was replaced by Lance, and the shenanigans with Lou Pearlman.
And the got the reason why the Backstreet boys pulled out of the Disney special wrong. They declined because they needed a Break and Brian had his surgery. They'd go on to do a Disney special.
After NSYNC broke up They focused on lots of things including solo albums, acting gigs, competing in reality competition shows, hosting shows and starting families The very last time they were together were for Trolls Band Together and their new song Paradise on Justin's new album Sad we'll never see them together again and that is really tearin up my heart

What I admired about MMC is that The Children were expected to stay on top of hteir Academics. Annette Funicello could attest to that fact. JC apparently tried to create a Girlband called Girl Radical and he apparently wrote songs for The UK Girlband Girls Aloud but don't quote me. When "Gone" was released, I knew that it was the coronation of his Career of being a Superstar. Even when they made the Cover of Rolling Stone Magazine, he was right in front.
I knew that Chris and Joey worked at Universal studios but I didn't know what they did. When I was a kid we used to go to universal a lot. I remember the beetle juice show. I probably saw them perform and didn't know.
The story is kind of distorted, BSB showed the way and NSYNC rode the wave using the managers and getting all song BSB didn't want to do and BSB were really doing the first fight and setting the trend in the USA.
My only issue with them is that you barely heard Joey, Chris and Lance sing. Whereas in some groups, you actually heard all members vocals individually.
I didn't know that Lance had aspirations of going into space! He kept his big dream alive! You can technically say that this is what caused the group to take a break. Everyone says it was Justin wanting to go solo, but you can't fault Lance for wanting to pursue his dream!

Lance didn't decide to pursue the dream until Justin requested the 6 month break, and he scheduled the training and worked his ass off to finish it in double the time so it would be done by the end of that 6 month break and not interfere with the band. He ended up not going to space partly because of that. It was Justin that told everyone after the break that he wanted another 6 months to keep working on his album, and then eventually told them he wasn't coming back. They were waiting on him and then all willing to go on without him except Chris, who didn't want to go on without all 5 members. Read Lance's book.
Lance’s documentary about Lou Pearlman is way more accurate. At least you hear from the actual band members how they came to be & it all had to do with a greedy manager, not because they thought they could outdo BSB lmao. It’s way grittier and more disturbing

I do recall the members saying once they went on break for 6 months it was hard to come back to the group. That hurt me at the time but I was old enough to understand.
Really he’s talked about it a lot before he said that in a lot of books I’ve read when he was in the van saying I read that about him a lot and he said there and said he wanted to go into space one that he wanted to be an astronaut that was a second dream they all had back up dreams even Justin had a backup dream
Well Lance did write a memoir and he talked about it a lot. It was a really good book. It's called Out of Sync if you want to look into.

JC shoulda went the full rnb Jon B route, Joey shoulda put all his focused on acting earlier.
The label didn't want him to bc Justin was already urban, but also didn't support him after its president left. This was after everybody had no choice but to wait on Justin so they could make album 4.

they didn't know NSYNC is gone... they were all waiting for Justin but Justin didn't come back so all of them felt cheated because as you've mentioned, they could've done so much more if they knew it early on.
I disagree completely. Joey is fun on reality shows like Pawn Stars and Impractical Jokers, but he's a much better singer. He's actually my favorite in the group, right after JC.

Several reminders from a die hard Nsync fan:
1. The Beatles are NOT a boyband. They are a rock band. Present tense intended..
2. The Backstreet Boys are and were extremely dedicated to their music, although they still need to make a damn Christmas album Lol
3. Justin Timberlake is and always was a tremendous talent. Most Nsync fans are just butt hurt that Nsync did not get back together, with or without him, myself included.
4. The New Kids on the Block inspired Lou Pearlman to get into the whole boyband business and basically inspired The Backstreet Boys, and everybody else who came after.

Ugh...in retrospect, this "bio:" is so incomplete and glossed over. Nothing about how the name N'Sync came to be, or the member namedJason who left and was replaced by Lance, and the shenanigans with Lou Pearlman.

After NSYNC broke up They focused on lots of things including solo albums, acting gigs, competing in reality competition shows, hosting shows and starting families The very last time they were together were for Trolls Band Together and their new song Paradise on Justin's new album Sad we'll never see them together again and that is really tearin up my heart

What I admired about MMC is that The Children were expected to stay on top of hteir Academics. Annette Funicello could attest to that fact. JC apparently tried to create a Girlband called Girl Radical and he apparently wrote songs for The UK Girlband Girls Aloud but don't quote me. When "Gone" was released, I knew that it was the coronation of his Career of being a Superstar. Even when they made the Cover of Rolling Stone Magazine, he was right in front.
I think it was different the way NSYNC was formed according to the Boy Band Con which was produced by Lance Bass.

I knew that Chris and Joey worked at Universal studios but I didn't know what they did. When I was a kid we used to go to universal a lot. I remember the beetle juice show. I probably saw them perform and didn't know.
The story is kind of distorted, BSB showed the way and NSYNC rode the wave using the managers and getting all song BSB didn't want to do and BSB were really doing the first fight and setting the trend in the USA.
To me BSB tops. Both bands are great. It's not a competition but every band had it's time to shine on

My only issue with them is that you barely heard Joey, Chris and Lance sing. Whereas in some groups, you actually heard all members vocals individually.
Watch their documentary. The three were backup dancers. And Chris did sing lead on one song.
Despite that, all of them are still popular and peole love them so much.

I didn't know that Lance had aspirations of going into space! He kept his big dream alive! You can technically say that this is what caused the group to take a break. Everyone says it was Justin wanting to go solo, but you can't fault Lance for wanting to pursue his dream!
Well people keep criticizing just promoted to go solo but newsflash he had that dream and he should follow that dream you don’t know if you can make it or not and even if I didn’t work out will have to remember you might love and think of the whole band but newsflash they all had individual dreams and you only live once and you have to live once and you Gotta make your life count and go for your dreams
Lance didn't decide to pursue the dream until Justin requested the 6 month break, and he scheduled the training and worked his ass off to finish it in double the time so it would be done by the end of that 6 month break and not interfere with the band. He ended up not going to space partly because of that. It was Justin that told everyone after the break that he wanted another 6 months to keep working on his album, and then eventually told them he wasn't coming back. They were waiting on him and then all willing to go on without him except Chris, who didn't want to go on without all 5 members. Read Lance's book.

Poor Chris. He really doesn't get the credit he deserves. Just sh*** from fans. If it weren't for him we'd never get an nsync. Probably not even a JT.
So at the end of the day, N*Sync project was the better version of Backstreet boys 🤔🤔

Their troubles with Lou really held them back…especially with Lou trying to create a monopoly on boy bands and use them for his financial scams.
Lance’s documentary about Lou Pearlman is way more accurate. At least you hear from the actual band members how they came to be & it all had to do with a greedy manager, not because they thought they could outdo BSB lmao. It’s way grittier and more disturbing
