that's nothing! my late uncle richard told me this story: he lives up in Terrace, BC, Canada, which is kind of out in the sticks, as it were. years ago, he said, he was driving home from work one day, and, he saw a couple of hitchikers on the side of the highway. being a gregarious sort, uncle picked up these two guys, who, as it turned out, were from England. as they continued along, uncle saw a black bear run out of the woods, and it ran directly into the side of a semi-truck that was further up the road. the semi kept going - the driver probably did not know what happened, but, uncle thought it best if he stopped, to drag the dead bear off of the highway. so, he pulls over, and, tells the englishmen - be right back! and he goes and starts dragging the bear off of the highway. surprise! the bear isn't dead, but only stunned, and, it comes to as uncle is dragging it by its hind legs backwards! the bear starts dragging itself forwards, as uncle is trying to drag ir backwards, in a very short tug of war, until uncle realizes, holy cats! this thing is still alive! and he lets go of the bear, which promptly runs away, across the highway, away from the crazy traffic, and worse, crazy drivers! uncle could only chuckle, as he thought those English would never have to pay for another drink again, geting by on the story of the crazy canuck and the bear! true story!
So your uncle was going to do a humane thing and try to be respectful of a sacred animals death. Yes, a mitzvah.
That was an awesome read, dude. I lived in northern Ontario for a few years and knew of a lot of moose/car collisions and I remember one car that luckily survived by having been small enough to have passed UNDER the moose that was in the middle of the road. Cheers!

I encourage people to actually listen to what RFK Jr has to say in his own words on the issues facing our country. If all I did was listen to the stuff mainstream media decided to focus on about him, I wouldn't want to vote for him either. He actually is a brilliant and honest guy with a lot of good ideas. He definitely has a colorful past but at least he is honest about it. A traditional democrat, anti-war, anti-censorship, anti-establishment, pro bodily autonomy, and pro restoring the middle class. He's the only candidate I ever hear talking about the chronic disease and mental illness epidemics that are plaguing our country. There are probably hundreds of hours of long form interviews with him on various RUclips channels and Podcasts, basically he will talk to anyone, which I think is a good thing. I don't see any other major candidate willing to really sit down and speak for more than an hour, and often get grilled on issues and what they stand for. After seeing how the mainstream media has treated him during this campaign, I really began to question the narratives that we are constantly fed. I would love to see him get a chance to be included in a debate, people in a true Democracy should be allowed to have more options, not less.

Its a true story, you can say its not all you want but it happened by his own admission. You should watch it before you leap to his defense. And I wasn't a fan of his before anyway, so dont worry this didnt change my opinion of him in the least, except to make me sure I had gotten my impressions right.

(Might be funny if you were still in college). I don’t get it, it’s respectable he was trying to salvage an animal that would have otherwise died in vain. Anyone from rural America does not find this weird at all. Everyone I know has laughed at this story. Showed respect for the bear in his original intentions, then used the bear in a joke. I'd like to be a part of jokes/pranks after I pass. The real tragedy is this cub getting struck by a minivan on a roadway that invades the very wilderness that this bear lived in and then was just going to be left there, forgotten.
