@Joe Walter I really appreciate your reply. I found the site on google and Im in the hacking process now. Takes a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Had an E92 335i for 7 years. Trim peeling and seat belts not handing over are common issues. As somebody said, ironing starch is claimed to work wonders on the seat belts. I just lived with the peeling trim. Folding mirrors weren't standard and I think those seats are standard on the SE.
Good luck with the project! Generally 2.0 4-cyl beemer’s of this vintage are to be avoided with a barge pole due to timing chain issues and vanos problems. However fingers crossed you can turn it around and make a profit! Good channel!
BMWs of this age did not come with any jacks or compressor and foam, there where using Run flat tyres. Nice cars , the Engine is sat back to allow them to put an inline 6 cylinder engine. Great that you can respray the car yourself, and save yourself some money. Good to see the good and the bad from the trade. keep up the great content.
Feel your pain I bought 2x corsa d 2013 plate from G3 leeds and both need new timing chains but due to covid online sales only , I will be thankful if I get my money back when all sorted and sold
Broken front wings are common - bought a 330 do a couple of months ago and had to sort the previous owners bodge. No spare wheel as they car came on run flats.
Loved my e92. Tip for the seatbelt, try spraying Ironing Starch on the belt, it helps stiffen it and lets the little “hand” push it forward as it should 👍🏻 Worked for me, your mileage may vary 🤷🏻♂️
A funny thing happened to me with cadwell park back in the latish 90's. I drove down this straight narrow gravel lane near cadwell once and through a big open gate and onto what i thought was a nice winding country road. Went further down the road nice little house on the left then realised where i was. I was on the cadwell track itself before the start finish line with my astra sri lol. I then quickly reversed up the track and back through the gate. Luckily that day nobody was racing on the track and nobody approached me haha. Would be nice to see an astra gsi or sri mk4 for your channel phil. Top video.
@@SeriousAboutSalvage Nice one phil. There is 2 astra sri turbo's on ebay 2 black ones with low mileage. A bit expensive though and you would not make anything on them i guess. They are struggling to sell as well. There is a silver one though with VXR engine and stage 3.5 tune. Could be good for your channel for a track day. I have got a rare MK4 3 door 1999 astra 2.0 16v sri in red only 96 left on the road now. Had it 16 years and keeping it abit longer for now.
Hi Phil,it's a nice looking car,it has a few things that needs to be done, mileage wise is good, wheels sorted alone will attract car buyers, with the bodywork sorted,it will sell pretty quick.
Nice car, pity about the damage. Did not realise the wings were plastic. As they say you win some and you loose some, let’s hope you can break even, or even make a small profit.

Am sure you know but the rubber peeling on steering wheel etc comes off easy with a bit of rubbing and leaves a nicer shiney plastic, also the headlight washer jet covers fall off because of the small water piston behind that makes it shoot out, it's just dirt within the piston usually and easy cleaned. Seat belt butler is an easy fix also, it's a small piece of plastic within. Easy to sell cars to be fair you should be ok with this one.
Hi Phil saw the B M W vid hope your feeling better , I was wondering why couldn’t you get that wing plastic welded. And if your going to paint the bonnet why not do the door. Love the Chanel mate keep it up.
Sadly you’ve walked into the trap the dealer wanted out of. I grant you its decades since i worked for a main dealer but the ONLY cars we blocked were the dogs that we could not economically refurb for retail. Generally retail able cars are moved to traders who supply used car retailers, avoiding the auction. Thankfully the car is potentially desirable but i would be surprised if you can make anything off it. It’s a pity as if someone was buying it for themselves it would make a cheap car when sorted. Still as you say its a learning curve. The main thing is keep the cash flow going!
Typical BMW trim peeling, a lot of people just carbon wrap the steering wheel, and some interior bits, makes it look a lot better, I wonder if the slide out cup holders are still working, they often fail too, as do the passenger occupancy sensors lol
Should be an interesting project - these can be had a lot cheaper but this is very low mileage. Interior is by no means rare but better than the fake half leather that splits. 2.0 petrol engine is not the most desirable but should make a nice car for someone. Good luck!
Good vid good chanel, just subscribed. But don't put run flats back on they ruin the road hold and handling on the E92, been there with many of these. 2.0d engine ain't the best but hey if you can flip and make some good on you. Keep up the good work, deserves to be a popular chanel 👍
