      @@desmondyap5391 they are excellent tyres, have them on all my road bikes and training wheels. However for time trials, the 5000's aren't great compared to time trial specific tyres due to the higher rolling resistance and puncture protection.

    Great vid as always Alex, thanks 👍😊
    I watched the whole Sub7Sub8, pretty much from start to finish and loved it. Amazing efforts from Joe, You and everyone in the whole event!
    It's always super interesting getting these little personal behind-the-scenes insights into the people and preperation of such an endeavour. Apparently DanB is going to be on the PeakTorque YT channel and can't wait to hear more detailed insights into what went on
    Looking forward to your next videos 👌😃

    Hey alex, like you i am all about aero dynamics having worked with custom Human powered vehicles. From my understanding wouldnt it be more more efficient aerodynamically to have one of the pacers as the last rider. Im sure their is a strategy to the order you guys have. Just my curious brain wondering

    Odd question from a guy who knows pretty much zero about aero..... would it not make sense to run a man behind the main man (Joe Skipper) so he is not getting pulled back from air wrap around?

    • @AlexDowsettOfficial
      @AlexDowsettOfficial  2 года назад +10

      Great question and we talked about/tested this. There was more of a gain from having the extra man in front as sweeper than a man behind instead/also and subsequently losing pacers. Joe was never the limiting factor to speed, we were, so it was a case of us going as fast as humanly possible.

    • @philipk4475
      @philipk4475 2 года назад +1

      It is beneficial, however I guess it needs to be weighed up against the more awkward resorting of the pace line. Probably doable but would require more coordination and much more preparation as a team
