    This vid randomly came into my feed but I thought I'd leave this comment;
    I got my E24 in today and after doing all the prep steps, attempted to pull it's first shot. To my surprise, after a couple of grams came out of the portafilter, the espresso stopped flowing, there was a loud-ish sound, and water started flooding out of the machine from the side of the portafilter, around the edges of the machine and down around the OPV drip straw. Shocked, I opened the machine up to find that the manufacturer sent me this new $500 machine missing not one but TWO of the bolts holding the two halfs of the boiler together on the left side. The O-ring was pushed out through the side of the boiler and water was pouring out of it.
    I am still pretty shocked that something like this could be missed. The box that it came in said something like "don't worry if there is some coffee residue, we test each machine with coffee before shipping".... clearly not.
    Anyways, I didn't want to sit around for another two weeks waiting for a new machine so I went down to the hardware store and grabbed two extra m6 bolts, dissembled the boiler to check the O-rings (which seemed fine) and put it back together PROPERLY.
    Made a great first cup of espresso.
    Just thought some people might find this helpful and informative... I would recommend if you buy this machine, to open up the top (very easy with two screws on the water funnel, it pulls right off) and just take a quick visual scan to make sure the hardware is all up to snuff before a disaster like mine happens. Quite a climactic start to my journey with this machine..

      Maybe company that sold you the machine swapped aluminum boiler from evo with brass one and sold you as E24. That would explain the testing and coffee residue story, because I didn’t get that message on my Gaggia box

      In this exact unit I had one screw overtightened which led to "eating" the thread. But that's the only thing I've noticed.
      And yeah, pulled the top and forgot that the metal is in the path and not attached to the plastic in the front panel. Took like a minute to get it off. But then I remembered how it worked 😂
      Glad that you're able to fix it, but it's better to share your story with the store as well so that they send you some refund for unnecessary work)

      Absolutely. Shot today a single basket test adjustment workflow. Will edit in a couple of days (possibly will be in 8 hours). So that you will see more details in real time, relatively uncut

    While I still like the Gaggia Classic I just think that foregoing a PID, going into 2025, is a swing and a miss. Even if it was a 20-30% price increase it would be competitive.

      Italians are extremely conservative. And they most certainly don't want to risk it yet. But surely will, because even AeroPress made this one hole attachment with the valve at some point.
      I currently don't see the reason to complicate the machine since the shots are great, but we're going to install PID

      @@yvves6861 This is ridiculous xD I litterly could be in their head office in 3-4 hours by train, but despite ordering it in November, will get it ~ half January ! So next time you drink your coffee from e24, think about these poor people in Switzerland, Italy, who do have the same luxury ;) TBH maybe there is some problem with 240 V installation units, I have no other clue.

      Ukraine, 220V - no issues) They just probably ship them to the distributors first
