This gameplay is a piece of art, so many great moves. I never understood why I had so few openings for the burst attack but after looking at some videos like yours I think now that Earplugs is an absolutely must-have for the Normal Gunlance. The glider mantle also is absolutely amazing for combos, I think I'll give it a try.
1:44 I've tried so many times to input this just to see if it worked and I never get the jump attack out. Do you need to buffer or something? Or am I just stupid
With Glider mantle equip, clutch claw on any parts of the monster and let yourself go. You'll glide and you can combo with various jumping attacks etc.

Didn't think to use glider on GL. Been using it on the GS and it's been a lot fun
