Calgary Homeless Foundation - Homelessness 101

Homelessness is complex, and there are several reasons someone might find themselves unsheltered, in an emergency shelter, provisionally accommodated (such as couch surfing) or at risk of becoming homeless. Lack of affordable housing , job loss, addiction or illness, or the lack of coordinated resources are all factors that can lead to homelessness. It can happen to anyone, and we’re helping Calgarians understand the complexities.

Vocabulary and terms are relevant and appropriate. Using the word "stranger" in that way really opened up my mind.
