Awesome Tim the Toolman tracker returns. you are a jack of all trades. electronics, demo, electric work, cars, remodeling. you can do it all. amazing. If it was bigger jen would be there too. But hard at work editing. amazing pair. love you guys.
while im at it, as far as the pipe is concerned, go buy a diablo heavy steel carbide tipped sawzall blade, (they are bright red), 2 (looks like) 3 inch rubber couplers, and a short piece of (looks like) 3 inch pvc pipe, cut the bottom of the hub first under the flange, make sure the rest of the pipe isnt gonna slide down thru the ceiling, cut the other side, then use the 2 (looks like) 3 inch rubbers to piece in a new pipe, and violia, hub is no longer an issue
love your vids, btw. the last time i was at disney was 2006, and i havnt been able to go since, and id be miserable if it wasnt for you guys. usually the pipe wont slide all the way down and you are ok. thats why you cut the bottom of the flange first so u can test to see if it will slide down. in the rare case it will, you can put a clamp around it up on the roof, or wedge a 2x4 under it from inside. either way, you will be fine. as far as the pt is concerned, it might be allowed down there. i know up here in the northeast it isnt, but even so, its not a huge deal. just wall it up and forget it.
Just realize that pressure treated wood will shrink as it dries out (it's really wet that's why it's so heavy). The regular studs are klin dried and don't shrink.
Tim...ur caterpillar is what we NC folks call a "wooly worm". They can be all black, black with orangey-brown section..or orangey-brown on both ends with a black middle section. We look at ours to see what kinda winter we're sposed to have. There is even wooly worm festivals.
Your bathroom Reno’s in the video look like mine at present. I’m impressed at how much bathroom work got done in one day in this clip. We live in an old Queenslander in Australia and what started as a “minor reno ” I came home one day to discover my husband had guttered the whole bathroom due to unexpected water leaks.
Jenn you're always cool with or without sunglasses. Tim you are such a good handyman the boys is loving this video they can't wait to see the finish results of the bathroom.
GoT was CRAZY at the end... I cant believe that they did that with the thing!!! I had a feeling when I saw the one part with the pulling that it was going to happen but its about the get CRAZY!!!!!
Tim you could always cut the cast iron pipe using a composite blade on an angle grinder then use a rubber boot to replace the upper section with 3" sch40 pvc pipe.
Yes, but I don't know what is holding up the part that is within the second story of the house. I'd hate for it to fall down and break something or hurt me.
Just a tip - be sure that your washer hose or any other hoses bringing water in your house is covered with wire mesh hoses because we had a water hose bust one day while we were at work and flooded the entire house and the basement - I try to warn anyone I can - lots of things lost - lots of mess - lots of work cleaning and once all was dried getting things back in the house ---- also to cover that pipe you could just make a beam frame around it or you could wrap the pipe with some type of rope or something that would compliment the decor in there - beachy looking nautical rope - or smaller lute type or even vine and greenery if you were using some theming that would match that - or - if you have curtain in there you could get a matching or same fabric and then cut it the length and width to wrap around and then velcro each side and then just velcro it along the pipe - if you are running that pipe again and you can remove it easy if it needs cleaning or you change decor = but if it is just that stump sticking out - find something to decoratively cover it as it hangs below - or just paint it to match the ceiling color few will notice it
Tim and Jen let me tell you a fun little story about when we opened up our wall this time last year. we wanted to redo our oldest daughter's bedroom and change it into a game room and when we took down the Walls to redo them it was teeming with termites😫. it was a horrible nightmare and very expensive to take care of. moral of the story... it's better that you didn't know what was behind the walls from the other homes you lived in.😂 ignorance really is bliss 😄😄
Hannah Montana lol hahaha I still sing it sometimes when I don't realize what I'm singing or bored lol but yeah so jenn that breakfast looks gooooooood lol
I live in Nashville and got to see the total solar eclipse today! Everything when dark and we got to take our glasses off and see the corona for 2 minutes it was insane!
Tim, I love your wonderment. "I wonder what kind of butterfly that's going to turn in to." I've never looked at caterpillars like that before. Thank you for the different perspective and joy.
+what's up Chuck Oh, that's wonderful! I live in PA, and I only got 77%. It turned out to just look overcast... like a storm was coming in. So while it wasn't too drastic here (unlike places that got complete totality), it was still a truly spectacular event!
Yay! I missed you Jenn, it was very cool to see you holding the camera again! I think this is my favourite kind of vlog, pottering around the house eating eggs and just chatting to the camera 😀 Thankyou!
What a great video. I can't wait until you guys pick out tile, flooring, fixtures.... etc. Colors, sinks, faucets..... I know it's a lot of work, but very rewarding to work on your own home. Nice to see Jenn and Bandit too! Thanks for sharing your day!
You get the best of both worlds Chill it out, take it slow Then you rock out the show You get the best of both worlds Mix it all together And you know that it's the best of both worlds...... That's how it goes....#nailedit
We can't wait until you do more resort tours. The walking tour from Wyndham to Universal helped with our plans. How about some for the Bonnet Creek resorts?
Hey Tim--you seem more knowledgeable about a lot of this stuff than I am, so I assume you know this, but be sure to use galvanized, coated, or stainless fasteners in that wood. The treatment will eat regular nails/screws. I've never heard of pressure treated wood being used inside....you sure it's okay for that? Thanks for the videos!
Not to worry, we used decking screws that are made specifically for use in PT. PT is required where wood touches concrete such as the bottom plates of the walls, but can be used anywhere that doesn't have food contact such as inside walls.
See, I knew you probably knew more about it than I did! Good point about using PT wood next to concrete--I hadn't thought about that. They used it in my basement anywhere a wall touched concrete and I did the same when I've added things that touch the concrete. It seems like a lot of advice over PT wood stems from its past arsenic content. It's been over 20 years since it's had that in it, so I can't help but wonder if some of the advice or even regulations are out of date. I love the renovation videos, btw. :)
Hi Tim, Jenn & Bandit, I just watched a vlog of yours from 5/21/2014 where you made a cake in a cup in about 2 mins. Just tried it and it was delicious. Thanks so much, Luv you guys
Hello Tim and Jen I watched your other bathroom renovation videos good luck you guys as you continue that process of putting in new bathroom shower and all. Tim I deftly want to see the progress of the neutron ride from tomorrowland speedway you brought back some great memories from when I was 10 and my 1st time in Disney World I went around the speedway and magic kingdom 4 times in a row was a great ride please do the progress videos can the Tron light from their. Thank you very much have a great day you guys and don't forget to look at the eclipse.
Had a bathroom remodel that lasted three years (expenses kept rising) thanks to a former homeowners attempt to band-aid a leak instead of fixing it and the damaged floors... Good times.
Tim I hope the PT wood wasn't to wet. It could dry shrink and bow on you. oh hope you used galvanized screws on nails in it too. can u furr-out around the pipe? so u don't have to lower the whole ceiling?
Hurray Monday morning trackers!! You guys bring me so much joy 💕
I love when baby bean makes an appearance ❤️🐶
Awesome Tim the Toolman tracker returns. you are a jack of all trades. electronics, demo, electric work, cars, remodeling. you can do it all. amazing. If it was bigger jen would be there too. But hard at work editing. amazing pair. love you guys.
The GoT episode was amazing!!!!
Oh Jenn, I am LMAO at your jokes. Don;t worry about not showing the dinner. you worked you butt off so no big deal!
Cool I love the DIYs ;)
Install a drop ceiling. Easy to do and always gives you access.
That's a woolly worm caterpillar. When we see them its a sure sign of fall and winter!
Tim wearing an Orlando City FC shirt looks dope. You should wear more sports shirts you look awesome in them
while im at it, as far as the pipe is concerned, go buy a diablo heavy steel carbide tipped sawzall blade, (they are bright red), 2 (looks like) 3 inch rubber couplers, and a short piece of (looks like) 3 inch pvc pipe, cut the bottom of the hub first under the flange, make sure the rest of the pipe isnt gonna slide down thru the ceiling, cut the other side, then use the 2 (looks like) 3 inch rubbers to piece in a new pipe, and violia, hub is no longer an issue
Yes, my biggest concern is the pipe sliding down. That pipe goes all the way to the roof from the first floor and cast iron pipes are very heavy.
love your vids, btw. the last time i was at disney was 2006, and i havnt been able to go since, and id be miserable if it wasnt for you guys. usually the pipe wont slide all the way down and you are ok. thats why you cut the bottom of the flange first so u can test to see if it will slide down. in the rare case it will, you can put a clamp around it up on the roof, or wedge a 2x4 under it from inside. either way, you will be fine. as far as the pt is concerned, it might be allowed down there. i know up here in the northeast it isnt, but even so, its not a huge deal. just wall it up and forget it.
Hey Tim love your videos
You are both awesome! Thanks for sharing:) Enjoy the eclipse today.🌞💫
Okay, I'm convinced now Tim is a contractor of some sort. Wow! How do you know all this stuff man? He's like my Dad. He can build a house! Amazing!!
Use treated screws going into the pressure treated wood. If not there could be a chance where it will eat away regular drywall screws.
Air quotes "poop fan". LOL You two crack me up.
GAME. OF. THRONES!! OMG!!!!! Next week we can talk about this week's episode. LOL

Watched & Liked 👍🏼👍🏼
This Monday doesn't suck. Did you check out the eclipse?
FireCracker3240 , I live in southern Illinois, I saw the complete eclipse, it was awesome.
+what's up Chuck Oh, that's wonderful! I live in PA, and I only got 77%. It turned out to just look overcast... like a storm was coming in. So while it wasn't too drastic here (unlike places that got complete totality), it was still a truly spectacular event!

Hello
Theme park Vlogs and updates Hello there
You should think about getting a bucket of killz (@lowes)and paint the walls and wood with it
Btw i slept late because of GOT, it was sooo goooood!!!
BUT I NAILED IT!!
Hey Tim--you seem more knowledgeable about a lot of this stuff than I am, so I assume you know this, but be sure to use galvanized, coated, or stainless fasteners in that wood. The treatment will eat regular nails/screws.

I haven't even finished the video and I literally cackled at that edit about Jen being a lizard. Bless y'all 😂
You should do one of the water fall shower heads where the hole top of the shower is the shower head
I Love the little edits like when tim was saying the name wrong of the hotel. and now jenn the lizard person hahaha :)
I laughed too hard at Jen's nailed it joke! Brilliant!
Jenn you nailed it lol 😂
Live your t-shirt Tim 😀
enjoy your videos and love all the tips and tricks for my future Disney World visit. :)
I had no idea that you were such a handyman Tim! WOW what a STUD! (yeah see what I did there? LOL)
The best of both world chill it out bring it slow till you rock out the show

everytime I hear Home Improvement my first instinct is to grunt and think of tim taylor.. yes, I am a 90s kid :)
So, I just finished watching the Total Solar Eclipse, so now I'm here watching my second favorite thing today - A Tracker Video!
i used to get the same little black guys in my backyard and front , they are not a butterfly they are a leopard moth , very pretty
Oh! That is awesome! I will be keeping an eye out for leopard moths!
Jenn is a Lizzard person..hahaha
Red Robin Yum 🍔🍔
i love Red Robin i went in a few in Tulsa when i was seeing a girl there in 2015.loved there Guniness milkshakes to.
Cool vid
That caterpillar looked like someone dropped their 70s moustache 😂
HAIL HYPNOTOAD!!!
The black larva (Catapillar) is a giant leopard moth.
Tim I hope the PT wood wasn't to wet. It could dry shrink and bow on you. oh hope you used galvanized screws on nails in it too. can u furr-out around the pipe? so u don't have to lower the whole ceiling?
We used decking screws in the PT, it was a little wet, but the way I was able to brace it against the old studs should help prevent any bowing.
Hey we have the same pan as you guys! Kinda random, but it's fantastic :)
Bandit looks so different with this long furr :D Even his dark stripe on the back is gone :D
I introduced my girlfriend to your channel and her immediate reaction was "wow that mustache" lol
Soooo hilarious: Jenn is a confirmed lizard person XD. I laughed so hard at this. Very cool vlog!!! You guys are so fun to watch!
I think that's a moth caterpillar. I'm not sure what kind though.
