Gumotex Safari: Reuss, Uri, from Amsteg - Kayak Whitewater 2

If you cross the Alps via the Gotthard route, you have a good opportunity for a quick refreshment on the Reuss. From Amsteg onwards, the river is rather moderate, whitewater 2 to max 3. You can start directly from the Amsteg motorway rest area. From there you have easy access to the river.

Yes, I have done a few whitewater trips, but I have only been paddling since last summer, so I am still in the learning phase. Whitewater level 2 works well, but I still have trouble with level 3.

Ab Amsteg bis zur Ausstiegstelle ca 13km. Wobei nur die ersten 6km Wildwasser 2 sind, nachher wird der Fluss spürbar flacher. Wer also nur eine kurze Abend-Tour machen will, kann die 6km ab Amsteg bis Erstfeld machen. Wer mehr Action haben will: 500m weiter oben einsteigen bei Amsteg Post, da kommt eine schöne WW3 Stelle. Haben wir aber ausgelassen, wir sind ab Rastplatz direkt unterhalb gestartet.
