I have respected dr peterson on almost all subjects he has discussed, this subject on the protesters i feel he has got wrong, for the world at large are concerned about the genocide of the Palestinian people, how is their concern or my concern any different from dr petersons concern regarding the nazis, he studied the history on them, he lectured in his university on them, why now is one genocide different from another .
so like, does Jordan Peterson not believe in unconditional love as a parent? I understand his reasonings and notions behind them and its admirable to push your kids out into the world to be the pioneer and to grow into a strong individual. He doesn't want to disable his children and cripple them, i get that. He wants his kids to be the warrior in the garden, with his sword sheathed. However. I think some women are not conscious of the damage they do even if they genuinely love their sons in their own way as pure as possible. But i do however think if a mother refuses to let her son embrace his masculinity and free spiritedness, that is a terrible thing.
But besides unconditional love don’t parents also have responsibilities for the child. Not only there happiness but their health, both physical and mental. There’s probably a balance between securing the child’s happiness and health, and the accounts Peterson is citing seem to be the extreme ones
