If someone doesn't research the company, it might be carelessness, but one could say the employer might want to know the candidate understands the business of NatWest so the candidate knows what they are letting themselves in for and not quit in the first year. Say if you apply for a company whose products cause illnesses, the company would want the candidate to be ok with that in their tenure.
My grandmother had a life destroying stroke in 2021, she had been with Natwest for decades. An estranged relative who never spoke to her called this place up and told them that my mother was stealing her money, so Lee Parl of Natwest customer "protection" locked her bank account. We had to fight to get them to pay the bills, pay for her carers. The estranged relative didn't see her at all, me and my mother lived with her. We suffered so much abuse from Lee Parl, whether it be from verbal abuse over the phone or him meddling in everything just to stop that poor, shell of a woman from enjoying the last moments of her life. They stopped my mother and grandmother at the door and refused to let them in. She passed away on the 25th of December 2022, and the bank told us that we could get the bank open (finally). The bereavement team reassured my mother that everything would be alright. But then, on Friday the 27th of January 2023, the day of my grandmother's funeral, Natwest sent us a letter telling us that a "page of the will is missing" after we were reassured. And it was Lee Parl of Natwest customer protection who filed it. These people are heartless, soulless monsters who want to ruin the lives of a poor dead woman's family, all over about £10,000. They did some other terrible things to us, but this comment would never end if I were to tell. I want to spread this story to everyone, just to make them rethink joining this inhumane organisation.
