Royce from 3DPrintRV have knocked it out of the park with this one. You can find it on their website, here is a link:

Great work and thank you. A little tip for removing something silicone on. Use wide green masking tape around the item your removing (stops scratching). Light Fishing line, with a handle on each end (enough line to pull/push), I learnt this trick at a panel beaters, removing emblems and other items glued on or silicone on. Thanks again for your tips and tricks.

That's what I like to hear!! Happy to help out. I pushed this one into the schedule as I know a lot are on the hunt for something like this. The sensor light for me is a really handy thing, I need something similar on the Journey now, lol.

Yes, would love to know when you find something similar for the Jayco caravan. A simple but great alternative! Thanks Vaughan! Keep up the good work.

After our last camp at Hat Head in the Journey I'm pretty to keen to see if we can get a similar configuration working on the Journey. The challenge will be whether to stay with the existing Jayco wireless switching or convert to 12v permanent to the light. I might see if I can get Royce to make a prototype and have a play with it 👍

No problem at all. I was pretty excited when I heard from Royce he was looking to make them. Once you get the old light off it's a great easy install 👍

I was pretty excited when I heard about this and got a sneak peak when we were up North. It's a great solution for the outside lighting on these campers. I'm pretty keen to get this or a version similar working on the Journey now...

we installed a 12v LED dimmer with rf remote into our existing outdoor light which works well - not a pretty unit the OEM thing but i'd have my reservations using a 3d printed unit outdoors in the sun (even more so not being a single piece hanging grabbing tree limbs tight tracks snapping it off) - not very uv resistant and quite brittle from the start and warp in heat.

Royce over at 3D PrintRv produces these as a commercial product with warranty. He has a lot of knowledge on filaments etc and has done a lot of R&D on this, like he does with most of his products.
The RF remote conversion actually sounds great but is probably not something a lot would tackle. Agree it is slightly vulnerable potentially if you were talking down really overgrown or narrow tracks however most would not take their campers through such terrain. The awning remains the furthest protrusion and would be prone to damage in those instances, especially with the top leaning on uneven tracks. It's coming up with a happy medium, depending on what you use it for I guess.

I meant to put that in - a black version is on it's way I believe.

It would be a good option. If he had put USB charging points on it as well. I’m looking at putting one of those ones on that have a built-in Bluetooth speaker and you can also add a USB charging point.

Oooo, yes that would have been a great add on. Hmm, I'm sure Royce could work something out if there was a demand for it.
