⛵Today I will be constructing a temporary platform (or a stand), wiring, and lighting system for the Santa Maria ship model. The objective is to create a stable and sturdy base for my future work, and this platform will ultimately serve as part of my electrical setup. Therefore, before commencing with the wiring and lighting, I have decided to construct a provisional stand to ensure the best possible outcome.
So, please sit back, relax, and enjoy the video as I guide you through the steps and techniques I used to complete this project.

🌊In this video series, I am constructing a model of the Santa Maria sailboat - the largest ship from Christopher Columbus's 1492 expedition. The model is based on a 1/65 scale kit from Amati.
As Amati ship model kits are often simplified for easier assembly, I am making significant modifications and corrections to certain elements.
To gain a better understanding of how to revamp these construction elements, I am utilizing various resources, such as ship modeling materials, online information about 15th-16th century sailboats, and Xavier Pastor's book "The Ships of Christopher Columbus. Santa Maria, Niña, Pinta" from the Anatomy of the Ship collection, etc.
However, due to the limited evidence available regarding the appearance of Columbus's ships, I am allowing myself some creative freedom when building this sailboat model.

Thanks a lot for your brilliant work ! Did you design and implement the lighting yourself?

Thank you for good words. ;)
Yes, I did it by myself.

    Резисторы и светодиоды какие?

Я уже не вспомню маркировку :) Резисторы на 230 Ом, если правильно помню. На самом деле - было несколько диодов с прошлых работ, померял их и подобрал резисторы.

    Can you give your drawing.?

I use drawings from Amati kit and get some ideas from books. I make some models in Fusion360. But I do not make any “general” drawings or so.

I mean, I don't have anything that I could sell or give out. I don't make drawings. These are just working sketches. I don't even keep a lot of them.

I believe the point is that you build a beautiful ship replica from a ship that you find that you find beautiful.
