  • PCOs is over diagnosed in ultrasound reporting.
Differential Diagnosis of PCOs with primary Ovarian Insufficiency is important on ultrasound. As the clinical symptoms of these two are much alike to eachother .
Amenorrhea or sometime hypomenorrhea is the basic sign of primary Ovarian Insufficiency.
At 12th day of cycle ,carefull investigation and interpretation of female pelvic is important to diagnose accurately.
If the size of immature follicle arranged at the periphery of ovary(at 12 th day of female cycle)is measuring less than 6mm alongwith endometrium thickness around 2-4mm. It should be considered primary Ovarian Insufficiency rather than PCOs.
