  • Wi-Fi is a networking technology primarily used to connect to the internet.
It uses radio waves to transmit data wirelessly and is supported by various modern electronic devices, including computers and smartphones.
Wi-Fi doesn't stand for anything. It's not an abbreviation but a marketing name.
Wi-Fi has grown a lot since the debut of its first generation in 1997.
It's based on a set of wireless communication standards developed by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
Wi Fi standards are provided and regulated by the IEEE standards which also categorize the Wi Fi generations according to those standards.
The seventh generation of Wi-Fi promises major improvements over Wi-Fi 6 and 6E and offer speeds up to four times faster.
It also include advances to reduce latency, increase capacity, and boost stability and efficiency.
It is currently available now in the US, UK, Australia, Japan, and Mexico. It still needs regulatory approval in many other countries.
