The thing that I am having trouble comprehending is why do we keep having yabu try to play center to begin with? He was never a center and he never was good at trying to be a center. He is what we signed him to be and that is a pretty good or very good stretch four depending on the night. Having him continue to try to be a center is just dumb because that's not what he is and his defense was never strength of his to begin with either.

The problem with Yabu is that he’s a hybrid player. Plays like a 3, height of a 4, weight/strength of a 5. He’s a good fit for the sixers if he’s played at that 3 even 4 spot. As a 5 he would be great for small ball line ups but we will live and die by the 3. I really like him as a player and I think he should stay a sixer, however he’s not the true 4 we need and he certainly not a center. Also I want to add he’s a decent rebounder for his height/weight. If he’s used as a 3/4 he would probably be considered above average but he’s played at the 5 more often than not. Thats a coaching issue not a him issue
Also should play Council over Martin (Caleb), Lowry should be only played as a emergency. Nice career, player/coach. Lineup should be Council/Bona/George/ Maxey and McCain.
We need to put adem bona and KJ Martin in as centers until Drummond and embiid come back. After that I would use them as backup power forwards when/if embiid comes back alongside Drummond. If you really wanna get creative you could even put embiid on the floor with Drummond as PF and use bona as the backup center and KJ or yabu as the backup PF depending on the situation (yabu when we need points, KJ when we need defense). Not saying I would run that lineup often but there might be certain situations where it could work. All I know is we need to trade caleb Martin ASAP. This guy is a liability when he's on the floor

Get everything you can for Embiid (before his antics and injury history kill his value) and PG13. Then draft carefully and hold cap space to make a big signing in 2-3 years. By that time, my Celtics and the Cavaliers will be forced to alter or disband due to cost. You guys could storm back onto the scene in three years with a team of young talented centered on a prime Maxey (sort of like OKC is doing right now with a wealth of young talent around Shae). It just makes more sense because I don't see any way that you compete with the Celtics or Cavs...so why keep trying when each year is another lump of trade value off Embiid? If you trade Embiid now, you likely still get a big haul for him, assuming you let him get quasi-healthy first. I don't think the guy is worth crap in the playoffs, but I'm sure many disagree and his eye-popping stats will get some GM to overpay for him big time. So it might be better not to play if I’m in a long season. Y’all stay trying to be funny not understanding athletes get hurt and the symptoms of the injury hamper you or can get worse .
