    Man. Brilliant. I've redone the front fenders on a new black Tahoe twice this week because of a minuscule hair in the middle of the film. I'm going to give this a try. Thanks again!!!

    Hey man great videos & tips. Going to be using your air bubble tip later today. My only tip/constructive criticism for you would be to equalize the music volumes to your voice/recorded video. Found myself turning down the volume when the music played and them back up when you were speaking. Thanks for your videos!

    Great video. This really helps. Coming from vinyl it’s crazy that you can lift half the panel after application and still salvage it 🤯

      PPF can be a very forgiving material to work with! Glad you find them helpful!

    Did you do the bumper as well? Would love to see a video of it if so.

    Great work! How did you keep other contaminants out while you were lifting the film to get the hair? It seems like for every contaminant I chase/remove like you did, at least 2 more find their way under the film... lol

      @DriveProtected  Год назад

      Its definitely hard to do and ill be honest, that still happens to me sometimes. You need to be careful that when you are putting your arm under the film to get something out, that you are not accidentally touching the adhesive with your arm, or anything.

    Well done! Where’d you get your pressurized spray tank from if you don’t mind me asking

    Does this method also work with fully bond adhesive? I installed the film a couple of weeks ago, and noticed some contamination.

      I’m sure you could try, but I wouldn’t think it would work too well if it’s been set for that long. It’s more so for the first day or so in my opinion.

    I have a 13 year old SRX with protection sheets . It appears as though black mold is now under the sheets . Is there away to clean / fix that growth without removing the sheeting ?

    Is this method effective the next day? I try to check as often as possible but some I catch later.

    • @DriveProtected
      @DriveProtected  Год назад

      Yes, it would work, however, you'd need to be extremely patient and careful when pulling up the film. I know of guys who can do it, and I have done it myself, but you're running the risk of permanent adhesive lines which would lead to having to be redone. Hope this makes sense!

    With the amount of force needed to lift the ppf how is the glue not damaged? I’ve lifted ppf that was on for 30minutes and had tiny glue distortions.

    • @DriveProtected
      @DriveProtected  Год назад

      If it's done properly, and if it's lifted at the right angle, you can still salvage the PPF. But once installed, your time is limited to how long you can successfully do this. Hope that makes sense!

    Can you remove small specs after it’s been sitting for 3 or 4 days?

    • @DriveProtected
      @DriveProtected  11 месяцев назад

      3-4 days would be very risky. I am confident if you tried, you would need to redo the entire panel.

    Does it matter how long the ppf has been installed before removing the contamination?

    • @DriveProtected
      @DriveProtected  Год назад +1

      Yeah. You want to try and remedy it within 24 hours after the install. Anything longer, your chances of successfully lifting and reapplying is limited.

    until how many days after installation can this be done?

    • @DriveProtected
      @DriveProtected  Год назад +1

      Only a matter of a few hours before you can successfully pull the film up and remove.

    Not to be mean, but a lighter color car would probably help you see the debris better.
