As someone who faded Ridley last year, I LOVE him at his price. Paid to be the number one with next to no target competition (Hopkins, Boyd) and being the deep ball threat with Levis liking to throw the ball deep? He's a great spot for his ADP.
I wouldn't call DeAndre Hopkins and Tyler Boyd "no competition". Last season, Ridley caught 76 receptions on 136 targets, while Hopkins caught 75 on 137 targets. I know Ridley got paid, but we almost never see WRs produce great fantasy seasons after getting paid by a new team.
But does he really get the target volume with Hopkins and those running backs? Also can we really trust Levis? Lots of bad QBs with rocket arms sitting on NFL benches.
@@FootballguysFantasy but I believe Ridley will absolutely have monster weeks in that offense…I guess I’m just trying to figure out what WR is better in that round…receiver get very thin after round 5, and we need to account for bye weeks and injuries….There might be SOME undraftable players but Ridley is not one of them
Seems like you guys are getting nitpicky with Jayden Reed. His ADP is 36 and you guys are close to that rank. As a young player who produced on limited snaps there is plenty of room for growth. Even though some of the metrics seem to show he wasn't getting wide open, those metrics can easily get skewed by his smaller sample size and that fact he was targeted often in the red zone where the field shrinks.
Those are actually great points. As president of the Jayden Reed fan club, the discourse over the Packers WR corps is getting wild. I think Reed has nowhere to go, but up. He obviously has a role in that offense. They seemed to want to use him and Doubs in the red zone and in key moments more than anyone else. And I get that Jones and Watson and Musgrave were hurt a lot last year, who are all target/red zone competition-- but the kid's here to stay. If he is your WR3/4, you are golden.
Saw an interview with Njoku referring to the new offense as”juicy”. He wouldn’t b saying that if he wasn’t a big part of the game plan. He wanted to leave 2 yrs back cuz he wasn’t getting the ball. He seems happy and is a great athlete. I also believe stephanski knows what he has and will make sure to feed him the ball. I like him as a late round TE2 in my league
In fairness, every player loves their new offense. But also, yeah, we talked about how the new offense would focus on the stuff that Watson likes from the old Texans offense. More vertical concepts and more WRs on the field. The tendencies of Watson to avoid TEs and the addition of Jeudy makes me dislike the ADP quite a bit. (Alfredo)
Diggs didn’t make Prisco’s top 100 NFL players, even as an honorable mention (so he actually didn’t crack the top 125). For what it’s worth. Also for what it’s worth, the Bleav in Texans podcasters expect Diggs to produce better than Nico, and see Dell as the top Texans WR.

@@teabaggingtime1415 Yeah I think it’s worth it to see what the fanbase and beat writers are saying, in this case it was surprising. I’d been drafting Nico as WR2 all summer but after further consideration the target share is muddy at best. I’ve been targeting Dell as WR3 and if Diggs falls far enough I’ll consider him as WR3 if I go with 2 RBs in the first 3 rounds. Wouldn't say "no target competition" with Brock Bowers, Jakobi Meyers, and Michael Gallup. The Raiders defense is improved this season, we don't know who the starting QB will be, and age continues to creep up. It's not that Adams is a bad player or anything like that, it's that his cost in the 2nd round is way too expensive and his ceiling doesn't justify that ADP.
