      Thank you for sharing 😁 yes you should go with the relaxed upper body as you fire from the hip. Try your best to only tense up at the point of contact slightly 👍

    The comments about your fonts made me LOL. Really who gives a s... what they look like?! They're in English, they are legible and they only come up a few times. You're a tennis coach, not a graphic designer.

    Thanks you for the best and most useful videos! Do you have any tips in any of the videos on how to deal with over rotation of the body during forehand? Because of this, the balls often fall into the net. During training, everything is fine, but during the game,when you experiencing stress, I overrotate the body during the impact and break off my arm early, I did not "follow through"

    Great stuff. 🎾
    At 04:15 "If the power source is in *front* of you (as in the right shoulder on the one-handed backhand) your rotation will be smaller compared to a forehand where the right shoulder is behind you... Great way of looking at it.
    Were you mostly self-taught on the bio-mechanics or did you work with college coaches. My guess is that you are mostly self-taught and experimented on the court. Also great to see a young guy using a one-hander like us older folks. Quite rare. Any reason you decided to use a one-hander over a two-hander? 🤔

    • @ironwilltennis
      @ironwilltennis  Год назад +1

      I was greatly self taught just studying players, until I got to college then I got assistance here and there. My first real coach wasn't until summer after freshman year of college. I competed with 2 hands my whole career and switch a little over a year ago now

    Love all your videos and tips👏. Need help hitting forehand cross court. I can hit great very powerful forehand down the line to the right corner (Ad side) with my hip twist and body properly behind the ball. But all hell breaks loose when hit forehand crosscourt (Deuce side), my hip and body is not behind ball and its just my arm just hangs out alone there, hence a shorty weak loopy cross court. If you have suggestions or drill to fix my cross court, thank you.

      @@ironwilltennis Yes, I think so. I do have another question though...what do you think about Gasquet's type 1-hander vs Wawrinka's? supposedly Gasquet can get upwards of 3k rotation. search for Gasquet effortless groundstrokes on youtube for a pretty good view. just wondered if you experimented with that.

    Thanks for the great videos! I often find myself in a "heavy forehand" cross court rally, unable to switch to down the line, and losing the point trying to get out of the rally. What is the best way to deal with the situation? Is it just staying in the rally waiting for the opponent's mistake? I am not sure how to change shot direction in such a situation. The best I can do is aiming for shorter cross court angles.

    • @ironwilltennis
      @ironwilltennis  Год назад +1

      Going shorter cross is an option, but you'll usually end up cutting it too close. I recommend hitting through the court to back them up. You can create a lot of movement and press switching between angles to depth if you're not confident in the change of direction

    • @albertodonofrio1471
