After updating like this, in updater, if i click what's new then its showing that you don't have permission to access the update log. Make sure the account you signed in with has the required permissions.

I think u should do 12.5.1 first cuz if you do 12.5 alr u will encounter "flash to this stable version is not allowed" and its because its the wrong version and you need to check the OTA update

Manual updating don't erase data ...but we cannot say much recently miui updates for several devices have had weird issue ... So still backup most important data of urs if u gonna do it

Make sure device is enough charged and rom zip isn't corrupted while downloading
