I can see why her EGO has multiple dead people outside the window(she most likely killed those people since the ice axe is a little bloodied) in the art.
Rodya is based on Fyodor Dostoyevsky novel, titled Crime and Punishment. The main character, which name is Rodion Raskolnikov killed old woman to take her money. He (Rodion) feels guilty for what he has done. Disclaimer: I haven't read Crime and Punishment myself but some sources say the whole novel focused on Rodion who couldn't bear his guilt.
Rodion Raskolnikov is the main character of Crime and Punishment. There, he is a poor student who decides to kill and steal from an old pawnbroker lady, trying to justify himself that with her wealth, he'll be able to do many good things. He kills her but is seen by her sister, so he must kill her too. Too shocked, he only steals a few things and manages to escape, but later he feels too guilty to use the money. Then the story gets even more complicated.
Closest analogy to Crime and Punishment that you've probably seen is Death Note. Protagonist imagined himself to be a "better human" then others and started to pass judgement as he sees it. At the end of novel he is disillusioned about his 'better' nature and surrenders himself to authorities. Radion's famous quote "Тварь я дрожащая, или право имею?" "Am I a trembling animal or have right to (pass judgment)?" dividing humans into unimportants and rulers like Napoleon or himself. So we can also wait for some god complex from her. Interesting that Radion in novel never was a gambler. But Dostoyevsky was. It seems that PM's character is based more on Fyodor Dostoyevsky then Raskolnikov.
Once the novel was called "Drunk" and told no longer about Rodion's torments, but rather about the whole city, because after the murder of his grandmother and her sister (which, by the way, was pregnant), Rodion walks around the city a lot and talks. In a terrible state, the bar was full of people. One of the more brazen people called Rodion to him and began to say how bad everything was, that his daughter was a prostitute, and he himself was terribly strong on her money, to the point of family poverty. The wife is not very happy. Rodion helps him get home (it was a communal apartment with 5 or 6 gambling people. (they were playing cards at a round table)). At one point, this drunkard was crushed by horses. And Rodion, like a complete idiot, gave ALL the money he had for the funeral to an unknown person. He wanted to give this money to his very loving, but poor family, who even came to him, because she knew that he was ill. It is also worth noting that Rodion miraculously avoided capture every time. When he tried to confess, when he was silent, everything somehow helped him not to be caught. Ironically, he himself confesses to the murder and goes into exile. (that's why it's snowing outside, the usual link was somewhere in the north.)

"Что было брошено" (Брошено has 2 main meanings, something was left, abandoned or something was thrown away) if брошено means thrown, translation will be rather "What was thrown away" or "What was cast away" or if "брошено" mean abandoned, "What was abandoned". (because maybe that's the meaning to the book that, was abandoned or because she threw axe in ego animation)
"What is thrown"/"What is cast" is correct, because if the axe is thrown/cast at a person, for example, its not thrown [away], it is simply thrown. Abandoned doesn't fit too. Also, there's a russian phrase, something in the lines of "What is thrown (cast) cannot be returned" with different variations.
Well... Why not both? Rodion is actually throwing an axe, yes... But also "to be cast away" tries to mean "to be exiled" The E.G.O. is apparently a coin with a bloody frozen axe And for what I know, Rodion in the novel ended exiled in the cold north after confessing his crime... killing for money (with an axe) Edit: "What is thrown cannot be returned" isn't it also true that Rodion threw away his future?

Dang, the EGO looks cleeean

(Брошено has 2 main meanings, something was left, abandoned or something was thrown away)
if брошено means thrown, translation will be rather "What was thrown away" or "What was cast away" or if "брошено" mean abandoned, "What was abandoned".
But also "to be cast away" tries to mean "to be exiled"
The E.G.O. is apparently a coin with a bloody frozen axe
And for what I know, Rodion in the novel ended exiled in the cold north after confessing his crime... killing for money (with an axe)
Edit: "What is thrown cannot be returned" isn't it also true that Rodion threw away his future?
