  • Eleanor enhances the popular Log Cabin pattern by adding stars among the blocks. Her unique star method begins by deciding on a quilt size and block arrangement. The stars then simply fall into place as the step-by-step instructions lead from making the basic blocks to adding star parts.

Oh, I am so happy to find this video. I bought your book for this quilt. I made it about 10 years ago. It was one of my first. I made it for a more than sister in law’s mother. She had cancer and I made it in pinks and fuchsia. It turn out beautiful. She absolutely loved it. She was a great lady. I did have some trouble with it. Not really a beginner quilt. Lol. Anyway, this will help me with the next one. I do love the pattern. You really taught me how to make quilts. Thank you so much.

Eleanor, you are the one who got me so interested in quilting, back in 1988 when I started watching Quilt in a Day. The first episode I saw was Dobbins Fan, and I was hooked ☺ I'm still making quilts, and still learning. Thank you for an amazing show, these wonderful videos, and so many lessons. God Bless you, dear lady🙏❤

You're a wonderful teacher. The first quilt I made was a long cabin a queen size. I have a wonderful older friend that taught me a few basic of quilting and I was hooked there after.
