Though Marianne defends her choices in the late 60's and beyond to neglect and abuse herself in every way possible, it nonetheless had the effect of destroying every facet of beauty that she once possessed. Others in the music industry who so abused themselves didn't live to see their later years; but, Marianne has become a living reminder of the long-term effects of that lifestyle. I have grieved over all that she lost; and prayed for her many times.

Late in life, several years ago, Marianne checked herself into The Mayo Clinic, in Minneapolis, (?) She got off drugs, and quit smoking. ✅️ Too bad she hadn't done that years ago. Her voice isn't the same.
