Ive got the long barreled version. Cool gun, lot of clever engineering went into it. Accurate after you understand where the sights are "pointed" (IMO the front blade is too tall...). Great gun for what it is..... Just keep in mind its not a competition pistol, not a hunting rig, not gonna be high power. Decent quality plinker with a forward-looking design.

Yes I agree. It’s great value, fun to shoot and I think it looks cool. Definitely an air pistol for plinking a few targets. No it’s definitely not for hunting. All the best 😊👍🏼

Some 177 pellets have a slightly different outer diametre its due to older 177 barrels being loose, this seems to have a tight barrel and needs to use the more standard size pellet.

    • @GreeklishOutdoors

Yes I agree, it’s definitely got a tight barrel. I’m sure it will be fine with only standard pellets (like the Crosman pointed I used). All the best 😊👍🏼

Hope you had a good holiday & that your back is on the mend Jono 👍🍻🇺🇸🇬🇷
Interesting that this pistol comes on two barrel lengths in Europe..🤔
Here, it is known as the Umarex MarkPoint, comes only in long barrel form, and costs around $36 at most retailers, minus shipping of course.
Stay warm my friend & cheers to you 👍🍻

Hi Nate. Yes I had a good holiday thanks. My back is on the mend, but I still need to be careful. How are you?
I didn’t realise you guys only have the long barrelled version. Things are always so much cheaper in the US than here. With all the trouble in Europe, I’m tempted to move across the Atlantic 🤪 🚢

I am well Jono, thank you 👍🍻🙂
You may not believe it, but many things are cheaper in Europe than here...healthy food for one, Weihrauch airguns for another as an example.
Honestly, with the way my country is going, especially with the recent election, things are not so good here either & are likely only going to get worse...Food, housing & healthcare are all very expensive, wages aren't very good for most and, very sadly, many basic, common-sense human rights are under great threat currently 😬😥😠
Nowhere is perfect for everyone of course, but it is definitely not as great here as many would have you believe... hopefully, that will change someday.

@natesmith5393 I didn’t realise that. I’ve only been 3 times (for work), it’s difficult to get a picture of how things really are. I hope things will get better. Human rights are being eroded away in Europe too, especially in the UK, where simply speaking your mind can get you thrown in jail. I’m glad Greece (at least where I am) seems a little shielded from the madness.

@@GreeklishOutdoors It would suit as a plinker and something for younger lads who know about such things through video games. Umarex always makes surprisingly good kit for their price point. It accuracy will be well above the cheap pistols of my day; well within minute of can. A red dot would give hours of easy plinking. Cheap red dots are good too these days. With the size of this pistol, I was hoping this thing was going to be more powerful, I have the Hatsan Mod25 Supercharger that's fairly powerful in a .22 caliber, but I was hoping this was more powerful than mine, but it's way under.

    • @GreeklishOutdoors

Yes I think they added a pretty weak spring and so the Hatsan is more powerful. However, it’s also €100 more expensive than the Umarex (here in Greece). • @GreeklishOutdoors
      @GreeklishOutdoors  Месяц назад +2

@Rhaenspots I think that if you dry fire a break barrel gun, you can damage the piston seals due to there being no resistance. The pellet creates resistance and stops the piston and its seal from slamming into the compression chamber.

With more powerful guns often the second shot will push out a stuck projectile and you end up wondering why there's 2 holes in the target!Obviously that pistol is too weak to do that.

I had a similar pistol, it wasn't good for my bad wrists so I have a few co2 ones and a few classic British springer pistols (including a BSA Magnum. 22 and Webley Tempest .22)👍

The muzzle energy is very poor for a springer pistol. I would've expecting at least 4ftlb. It's hardly any better than a CO2 pistol. Certainly won't be joining my collection.

Yes the spring isn’t very strong. I could tell when cocking the gun, as it didn’t take much effort. It’s a budget gun and although it’s not very powerful, I think it would be ok for someone starting out in the sport. I can understand why you wouldn’t choose to have it though. All the best 😊👍🏼

Good review however the pistol is complete garbage just most of umarex pistol are I am an avid shooter and own dozens of pistols and the umarex brand pistols always fail I currently own over a dozen pistols built by them and not one is in working order they all leak and for the amount invested it's unbelievably frustrating knowing that there pistols average just over 3 months before they fail and being from Canada the Cabela's store only provides a 60 day warranty and the time and Hassel and cost to send them for repair is just not worth it in many cases the pistol didn't even come back as customs seize the pistol and destroy them claiming it could be used in a crime or request a valid PAL # of witch isn't even required to own them I have no way to repair them or use them and the thousands of dollars spent was a complete waste unfortunately they are the main provider of co2 pistols the shops use making good quality units next to impossible to find and buy another matter is the receipt paper used by most retailers fades and disappears within 4 to six months rendering a one year warranty impossible to attain and of course without original receipt and proof of purchase they won't even repair them if you offer to pay for it so heads up if you are expecting to own and use there units for a long time it won't be the case they will fail garenteed and unless you want to spend an additional 40 or 50 dollars on top of the 250-350 you paid and are willing to risk getting it seized and waiting 3 to 4 months for it to return if at all then enjoy but I for one and non of the 85+ members in my club will buy or own anything they sell and as of the 1st day of 2025 there products are no longer permited on our indoor or outdooR range
