That is just fabulous. I absolutely love gelatos. I think I have a total of four colors. Now of course I have to go out and get a ton more because of you. Love love love your page. I to have a thing for using my fingers as much as I can on my journal pages.
Hey girl! Love your art journal pages! You prob know this and even though you wanted it messy, you could have mixed the black gelato or ink or acrylic to the whipped spackle to get black spackle! It's awesome! I love working in art journals. Great way to experiment and let loose!
i dont mean to be off topic but does anyone know of a method to get back into an Instagram account? I was dumb forgot my account password. I would love any assistance you can offer me.
@Zion Mayson I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site on google and im trying it out atm. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will reply here later with my results.
Hi, this was my first time to your page, what a fantastic tutorial. I have some 'Kids gelatos' and I'm going to give this a try. Thanks for the inspiration!
Hi Rachel. I'm a new subscriber and am enjoying your videos! Loved watching your process for this page. Did you know that you can mix gelatos with texture paste to tint it?WooHoo :) I like the way that you wound up darkening the paste though. The peeks of white are nice :)
Hello, thank you for watching! If you are referring to the gel crayons that are inexpensive and geared more towards schools then they are not the same. If you already have them you can certainly give some of these techniques a try, but your results may not be the same. I found this answer on the Faber Castell site: support.fabercastell.com/support/solutions/articles/25000009363-the-difference-between-gel-sticks-gelatos-
gesso is typically much more liquid by nature, it might not hold up well enough to create raised texture like modeling paste does. but if texture isn't your goal... black gesso would work great!
I have my "gelatos" for 'ages', coz I don't waste them like a "garbage" art material!!! I treat "ALL MY ART MATERIALS" with "RESPECT"!!! I AM NOT A GARBAGE PERSON - THEREFORE I AM!!!
I love the color combo and the black accents! Very fun! Thanks for sharing your talent.
bright cheery colors for summer!
Pink and orange are my FAVE color combo! Thanks so much for sharing! Beautiful pages!!!

Do you think using gesso first improves the effectiveness?
Hello! I definitely think the gesso helps. It makes blending/smudging/smearing much more smooth
Awesome job!

Excuse me, I bought the gel crayons. ? Are they the same product, the packaging (tubes they came in) are almost identical...

Wow
how about black gesso for the stencil?

+Rachel Kleinman oh yeah, it is thinner, isn't it. wonder if they make super heavy black Gesso? great video. thank you :)
You could also color high density modeling paste with some black acrylic paint.
beautiful. i subscrbed
