  • This film of Abang, an Indonesian Orangutang, was made by Dr Richard Wright in the early 1970s to explore the stoneworking capabilities of apes. His work was followed a decade later by the famous experiments with Kanzi, a captive bonobo. Special thanks to Richard for giving us permission to host this historically important video.
