Great account and thanks for explaining torsion spring movement. I'd be scared that it wasn't being wound at all. I've had a few clocks whereby I don't hear the click and think it's worn and about to fail imminently!
Thank you! Yes, I live with the same fear whenever I wind my Junghans bracket clock... the time side clickspring might need to be replaced or strengthened, as you can barely hear the clicking noise while winding it. I'll have to take care of that in the future.
@@porkus8102 dang I didn't know every Prim had this :// Idk, I just haven't seen this type of system so much. Only in these little alarm clocks and in some DUFA longcase clocks.
@@luka3377ive just noticed the movement, and its actually made by prim, the movement is a B-90, one of the (in my opinion) best movements when it comes to servicing them
Wow Luka, this is very beautiful and rare clock!
not rare, prim clocks are very common
@@theantiquescollector2199 Oh ok! Thanks for information!

dude what, I have a collection of 3-5 Prim alarm clocks and most of them have that torsion spring winding mechanism.... I didn't know that was so rare

@@luka3377 no, not every Prim, I have a newer one with a ratchet (1980-1990s)
@@porkus8102 oh, ok.
same, i live in the country where they were made and i highly doubt its rare, pretty much every prim with a B-90 movement has the torsion spring.
