Rule of thumb. Loosen the fill plug first before you loosen the drain plug!
Am I the only one to say “what’s with those nails dude”. This is like what I would imagine RuPaul’s garage videos would be like.
If you dont do coke, you dont know. lol
Trade in the torque wrench, for some finger-nail cutters! WTF
Great stuff! Thanks for taking the time to share your skills and thoughts
thanks for the tutorial, very straightforeward
This being a metric vehicle, it is more likely that the drain/fill plugs should be serviced with an 8mm Allen key rather than the 5/16" tool you are using. The difference is only .06 mm, but you can feel the difference in fit.
You made it look easy. Thank you.
You're welcome!
Great video
Thanks!
Good work
Thank you so much 😀
Did you have any issues with the transmission, my only concern about checking the temperature and all that
One thing he didn't mentioned is that if you want to check the fluid level, it has to be checked while the engine is running! Also need to make sure that the case is level with the wheels off. I made the mistake of checking while the engine is stopped and for the longest time could not figure out why so much fluid has come out!!!
What is the tightening torque for the drain plug? Thanks!
great video!
Thanks!
@@macdaddypimppinghello i purchased a 17 pilot cvt transmission with 70k shud i change fluid?
@@JP-iu4hcYes, Go A Head If No Issues Currently With Your Transmission
Good video! I like to wear gloves when I take off the drain plug. Lol
Good call!
This is a good reason that there is no such thing a lifetime fluid
Great video! How many miles was on the oil you drained? It Looked well used.
Thank you, I changed at 80,000+ Miles.
Way Too Much, It Should Have Been @ 30 K ..Comes From A Honda Tech
How many miles your first transmission fluid change? Thanks
Most automotive experts will say that transmission fluid should be changed somewhere between 60,000 and 100,000 miles. When you get a pop-up on your dash or check your owner's manual.
Don’t you have to have the transmission on a certain temperature when measuring?
Yes, I explained that in the video and that's one way of doing it or the other way is going by how many quarts with manufacture specification or whatever you drain then add the same amount of it back.
Honda Recommends Replacing Those Plugs Drain & Fill Everytime The Transmission Is Serviced Since There No Metal Gasket Just Silicone Gasket Build In The Plugs.
What’s the torque specs in the plugs?
36ft/lb or check with the dealer or Google it.
What's the torque pounds
29 & 33 ft/lbs. Please Google it and ensure the torque accordingly.
I shake my head at everyone using the Honda Fluid. It cant even last 30k without shearing. Much better ATF out there.
Dealership used that Honda branded crap and it had to be changed every 10-15K miles in my 2020 Pilot Elite because tranny would start juddering. The 1st time i took it to my preferred shop after the warranty expired they used what looked like a bottle of Rotella ATF and it hasn't had to be changed after 50K miles and said that the Honda Brandon stuff is super thin like power steering fluid and wouldn't last more tgan 15k it was specifically designed to wear out quickly.
Honda Specific About Their Fluids, Good Luck To You Let's See How Long Your Tranny Lasts!!!
Looks like the fill & drain plugs were WAAAAYYY over-torqued!!
why is that your oil is to dark ,how may millage had that oil
That oil new is already a dark green color. This video is for the 9 speed Pilot/Passport
Next up make a video cutting your finger nails lol. Lawd
Just do the 4 quart's
Clip your finger nails! You probably got the Corona from 3 years ago stuck in there...
