My problem with naiad. Is that when you transition. She can just dash towards you. So all of the distance u made is pointless. Even while being at the edge of map away from her, she can still chase you down with ease. And her abyss is so annoying. But thanks for the video
@@archalys0while I didn't play all the hunters in the game but hunters can mainly be categorised into 2 groups : the long chaser and the loop chaser Long chasers are excellent at catching survivors that are running in the open While Loop chasers are great at hitting survivors in a loop I'm not saying you can't use a long chaser against a survivor who is looping, but in that case you do not utilize the advantage Long Chaser hunters are : 1) Smile Face, self explanatory 2) Geisha, self explanatory 3) Gamekeeper, hooks survivors, and bear traps aren't used that much because no one will run into a bear trap, however it can cut off some loops and force the survivor to run long distance, also a direct counter to perfumer, making her totally useless 4) Night watch, you need pallets/ obstacle to block off his wind, running in open just gonna get you killed 5) Blood Queen, heavily rely on her physical body's surroundings, if her physical body are in a tight corner, her mirror image can't move anywhere as well 6) Nightmare, he's useless if he use auto aim leap in loops, often time hitting the walls 8) Wax artist, running in the open just makes him easier to wax you Loop chasers are : 1) Ripper, it's easier to predict the fogblade if the survivor is looping, fogblade can pass through onstacles 2) Photographer, has the ability to backtrack few steps if the suvivor is looping 3) Guard 26, way harder to dodge bombs if you are in tight corners 4) Soul Weaver, easier to hit survivor with web in close range, also can place web at loops that slows survivor 5) Feaster, easier to hit survivor with tentacles in loops 6) Violinist, AoE, and you know AoE works best in tight areas 7) Hermit, same, his AoE
it's a crucial point to know where her harpoon placement is in that way you can transition away from it to prevent her from creating abyss but the problem with a full presence naiad is her speed boost. my only solution to this is bring flywheel and have a fast reaction when she withdrew her harpoon to dodge the damage
Great guide! I found this through a video of how to rescue (because I still need to learn how to + other tips against kiting other hunters), and it's very helpful! As an additional tip though since it's a surprise it wasn't mentioned here: If you have water on you and you want to rescue, hop in a locker real quick and leave. The reason why being that you can remove water without having to wait for 20 seconds or so. It may not be as efficient, but its better than nothing.
Hi! I discovered this channel through a recommended video on how to kite hermit (I did watch the video and it was helpful so thank you for making it!) and then saw this video. As someone who struggles kiting naiad this video does explain quite a lot in comparison to other videos I’ve seen, which I will keep in mind in the future ^^ Thank you for your hard work and I hope to see more from you in the future!

Yeah that is tough to deal with but as long as you and your teammates try not to give her present then you should be ok for the beginning-mid match
Naiad is just lazy design and development

How long does Naiad’s water / abyss stay in an area before it disappears?
It lasts for 20 seconds iirc.
