Hey, I just wanted to reach out to you and let you know that my husband and I think you two are badasses! You are really the only sailing family that we can think of who has a YT show that has circumnavigated, expanded their family, not had crew or a chef or a nanny to help them along the way. Who have experienced significant set backs with your bulkheads and other issues and yet you continue to move forward. We find you inspiring. We are a family of four who have recently sold everything and moved aboard a catamaran. Our kids are much older (10 and 13) so I cant imagine how hard it must be with little ones. We have started a YT channel to share our adventure with all those we left at home so I know that is also a ton of work. Anyhow I could go on for awhile about how impressed we are with you and since I was thinking about this and all that you have accomplished I thought I would just let you know how much I admire your strength, grit and ability to always move forward while being great parents raising kids in a unique, challenging and often stressful situation. Well done!
Thank you so much. A lot of it is self inflicted hardship (no crew. no nanny)! You have no idea how comments like this make our day. It is super hard out here at times. But we often just take it one day at a time. One hour at a time. Sailing in storms can be 10 minutes at a time dealing with the boat and feeding the kids. Is it all worth it? We think so! The epic rewards outweigh all the hardships.
Here you go again, visiting a beautiful island, interacting with the locals , taking great photos , helping the economy, rearing awesome kids, what over achievers, thanks, great video.
I love how you go out and interact and get involved with the locals in your videos. Right now the world seems so divided. It’s nice to see people come together and share traditions and community.
😂😅😂😅😅😂 It's funny to see Ben going up hill and Ashley is like, "It's a pretty big hill dude" and Ben just stays quiet and stairs dead on at the ground. But man pushing that baby stroller up hill has got to be quite the workout. Well done Ben & Ashely. It was fun to see Willa pushing the baby stroller. So cute. It's quite the legacy these kids have with you Ben h Ashley. Just beautiful.
Your dear children are hiking champs. Love being a part of your journey. The hike was beautiful and daunting. What an amazing way to live and learn for the kids. You take in and relish the culture of your surroundings everywhere - and, of course, the wonderful people. Stay safe and well. ❤
I have been following you guys for 3 years now, and this is by far the best video for me. This is also my first-ever comment because I had to thank you for showing me the real beauty of life outside the city jungle. You guys inspired me so much in this video, the magnificent view of Fatu Hiva, its beautiful people, everything about it. I also love how happy you all are in everything that you do. Thank you very much!
An Inspirational family. I think you have your priorities spot on, a great attitude to life. Lovely kids, you must be so proud of your achievements. Total respect from the UK.
Ben and Ashley I enjoy all of the content you share but this one was absolutely over the top!!! The views were a blessing to see and I could feel your excitement. Thank you
27:20 ~ I love you family tooo. I’ve been with you since before Covid. I wanted to thank you for making my life better. My husband died unexpectedly in October of 2020. We got married when I was 23 and I felt my life was done. Almost for years later, I’m okay and still have our ginormous doggo. Thank you. 🩷💙
Love seeing Ben soooo f****** relaxed and in his element.. Im pretty sure by the look on his face he could easily settle here. Amazing guys.. Thanks for sharing. inspirational. take care and stay safe Nahoa fam x
'There's something about the mountains and something about the sea, that intrigues me and keeps me comin' back to both, city life, not-so-much'." I think there are lots of us who are 'with you' on that one Ben. You guys are so lucky - and we're lucky to have you share with us. Best wishes from BC. Contender for 'Best Episode Ever'.
That's one heck of a hike without pushing a stroller and two toddlers. Ash, I'm blessed to be one of the red-faces. I thought you looked beautifully glowing. Thank you so very much for sharing your extraordinary lives. 🗿
Ben and Ashley! You two have memorialized Paul (Yosemite Bear) Vasquez! AKA “The Double Rainbow Man”. He passed in May of 2020. He was a friend of mine and I just know he would LOVE a the snippet of his video incorporated into yours! This video is absolutely beautiful! You two are doing awesome things for your kids and creating great memories and experiences for decades into the future! Thank you for sharing your lives with all of us! it really gives us inspiration!
BEAUTIFUL video in every way. Each week we think that you cannot do any better. My wife and I sail the S Pacific with an 8 year old in the late 1970s. There were less boats, and no GPS, but the islands and the Polynesians seem as perfect as they were then. The people of the South Pacific are the finest on the earth. Now we are in our 80's you bring back some special memories. Thank you so much.
Oklahoma here again! I absolutely love your videos!! I get to see things I normally wouldn’t get to see!! Beautiful!! Thank you you all for making me smile!! God bless your precious family!!❤️❤️❤️❤️
Absolutely beautiful!! I can’t believe the beautiful scenery. The people are just so nice. The kids are doing great from what I see. Everything you do will have bumps in it. Sailing with 2 kids but what a life they are having.❤
Such an incredible location! Thanks for sharing it with us. Willa is amazing! And I can really relate to Ashley with the red face from any exertion. It's annoying, but just a normal thing for those of us with those genetics.
I think this is my favorite episode and I have watched all of them ❤ it's so beautiful and wholesome, to watch the kids swimming with you by the waterfall, hiking the mountains and the gorgeous views of the mountains and water, just gorgeous!!! I love you guys❤❤❤❤
Your channel just popped up & i watched 1 🤔 fantastic & subscribed, i take my hat 🎩 off to you all, well done & entertaining 👍🏻 thank you & God bless 🙏🏻 from the UK 🇬🇧
Absolutely gorgeous place!!! Reassuring to see there's still places on earth that man hasn't littered and destroyed. What an amazing exe opening experience for your kids, better than any pre-school or kindergarten. Watching from Switzerland. Sept. 16, 2024
It's where the mountain meets the sea, the mountains are calling and I must go! Thank you for taking us along on this amazing journey, I will never get to see this in person and the next best thing is for Ben and Ashley with the kids, showing me how beautiful this amazing little island is. Thank you..
This is probably the best or most heartfilled of all of your guys travels. This one really touched me. You guys bring us a piece of the world that most of us will never experience. As an airline pilot, I flew to many places around the world, but nothing like this. Thank you.
Soooooo beautiful and awe-inspiring!!! And BRAVO to the kiddos - they are destined to be GREAT hikers and explorers-Ben, I agree 1000% that the kids are getting the BEST learning experiences!!! Hope someone has told you lately that you are BOTH EXCEPTIONAL parents - BRAVO to you too!! ☺️💖Looking forward to next week! Take care guys!
You are living the dream & are an inspiration. Thank you for these beautiful, fascinating, funny videos. All I know is this returned Peace Corps volunteer has the appetite to start traveling again after binge watching your videos, especially this one.
Ben & Ash, the plural for those "rebels" who "refuse to obey orders" is "MUTINEERS"! Personally; I see this as one of your "TOP VIDEOS" and I THANK YOU for sharing the "ADVENTURE" and personal "FAMILY TIME" MUCH LOVE FROM GUAM !!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Koa wood-yes I had lived in Maui and worked in a gallery -koa wood they had to search for in the mountains or dense hills. Thank you for this beautiful video. Loved it. 😊
This takes child labor to a whole new meaning 😂 being a parent is a labor or love at all times. I felt for you both pushing the kids up those big ass hills. Love the footage! Soak up some mountain ocean breeze for me ❤
I've been watching you guys since the beginning and have always loved your videos! Your both so adventurous and free and are passing along wonderful life skills and unconditional love to your children! If it's possible, your videos have gotten even better with the kids. You still respect the locals and showcase their lives and customs in a unique and interesting manner compared to most other RUclips chanels!! Thx for all that you do. I always like your videos but didn't know til recently that commenting could make a difference so I'll comment on all your vids now too! I hope that helps since I'm not in a position to become a patreaon but if I were, I would! 🤗💞
A beautiful video. It brings this quote to mind: "I am tormented with an everlasting itch for things remote. I love to sail forbidden seas, and land on barbarous coasts." - Herman Melville, Moby Dick
Such a beautiful place! I would want to stay.❤ What do you on your passages to stay in shape? Workout? Excer ice? The kids are amazing little hikers already! That was so nice to give the lady a way to go see her son! I hope she can find another ride to go home. :)
Beautiful islands and loved hearing & seeing the locals create their lovely art. So nice you could help the mother visit her son on his important day. ♥
I can’t wait for the video of Nuku Hiva! We were on a cruise and had to emergency stop at Nuku Hiva. We didn’t get to get off but it looked so beautiful. Can’t wait!
You guys are totally amazing. I can't begin to imagine the challenges that you have raising two children on a sailboat but wow what a life you are giving them making memories with them all these videos that they will have to look at in years to come and cherish. I will have to look back in your videos but I'm sure you were videoing when you first had the kiddos like I said I can't imagine the challenges that you went through raising them on the water it would take a lot of patience and a lot of an adjustment
6,236th tag-along view; y'all look RADIANT enjoying the hikes and spending quality time with each other; creating memories that will last a lifetime. 19:27... I like that you're sharing/mentoring your kids with an attitude of fearlessness... enjoying life & family adventures, rain or shine. One of my favorite episodes.
You two are so interesting. I love your approach to cultures, nature and wonderment of the world. Your children are so lucky to grow up learning about other people. I thought the little plants on the ground that reacted with touch that Willa found were amazing. Children have a way of seeing things on the ground and we adults don’t seem to look down enough. Were you able to find out what they were? Thank you for sharing this fabulous video.
