Weird finding your video right now, as I´m crying packing my stuff. I kinda always did the responsible thing, built a career (and felt miserable). Then I broke my foot a couple weeks ago, felt even worse and was stuck at home - and quit my job as a consequence. As a nerdy girl I always had a thing for Japan, so I ended up applying for jobs there - and for funsies in other asian countries. Long story short: now I´m 36 years old packing my life in little boxes as I´m moving to Vietnam in 2,5 months. And every day I´m asking myself if I´ve lost it completely. So thank you for your words.

I always look at "the worst case scenario". Maybe for you it would be that you would not really like living there and would have to go back to your country for a while to save some money and try again? That does not sound too bad, just inconvenient a little bit.
I have failed in my first business but from that came another one which has been sustaining me for over 17 years now and when you look back you will see a pattern of the most incredible things coming out of your most challenging circumstances. Just look for the blessings in every situation and you will have an enchanted life 🙂

Left for my first solo trip at 19- had five jobs and applied for grants to go… people thought I’d be back within a week but no I was stubborn and managed though it was terrifying at times! Over the years my travels have grown with that ‘confidence muscle’… at 26 I left my job in mental health on a one way ticket to South America with a safety cushion of a plan teaching for six months… I cried so much before leaving. Four years later I’m still here living in Ecuador… it’s an ongoing adventure and watching your video it’s a good reminder of why I’m doing this ✨🤗

I was travelling in South East Asia from late 2014 to early 2017. I had 6000 euros and thought I could live and travel on this for at least six months. Within 2 months, I had spent it all (partying and doing everything I wanted). Then I started hitchhiking and working in hostels for board and lodging. After a few months, I joined a guesthouse in Malaysia where I worked as a manager for 8 months and also made some money. With this money, I bought a ticket to Paris and after hitchhiking through France and Spain for 2 more months, I returned to the Netherlands, where I am from. Now, after six years, I long for that freedom again and it's starting to bubble up inside just to go again. I am now 54 and live a minimalist life.

Thank you for being so transparent about your story, it feels good for once to hear that what makes us feel safe is ok and can be part of the process of moving to a new place, that our adventures and dreams do not only have to do with "scary scary scary" and "unsafe"? I feel that we are exposed to a lot of just-jump-and-do-it messages that do not take in consideration the need to feel somewhat safe while we're going at life. Maybe one can go at their dreams without traumatizing themselves. So the fact that you've been so far and done so much while still willing to keep a safe cushion is actually super inspiring!

The universe really works in mysterious ways 😅. I just left on my 2 months solo travel around Indonesia and I had so much anxiety before leaving and no one to talk to that could understand me. My closest friends understood that I had to do this for myself but others didn't understand why when I have everything I need back home. It would have been very helpful to see this video a month ago but seeing it now it just assured me that I'm good and I'm not the only one panicking leaving alone on the other side of the world not knowing what tomorrow will bring. It made me appreciate my journey; I highly relate to your story. I was relocated by a company to Australia, in a high pay job (safety cushion); the country and the people are beautiful, but I never fitted in; it wasn't aligning with my vision. And I know I'm blessed; people often tell you how lucky you are to have such opportunities (I worked hard for it).
But one day, I realized that I had to make scary decisions and trust myself; After 2y, I quit the job, dropped the permanent visa opportunity, book a flight to another country where I didn't even speak the language, and it was all super scary, at times I felt doubtful, just like you described.
When the flight took off, I felt relieved; I wasn't missing my safety cushion in Australia. As of today, I feel glad I have done it, and I have no regrets; I'm more confident to take risks that align with my vision.
The interesting thing is that many people (that don't know me well) still believe that I did the crazy wrong thing by not following the social standard by dropping the opportunity in Australia. I'm doing much better now (financially, emotionally, etc.) that I'm working towards my vision freely.
Maybe Australia has that effect on you 😅😁
I love the video, it was like we sat in a cafe to talk but forgot to order the coffee. Thanks!

I flipped a coin one day in my twenties and I ended up in Arizona for 6 months...best memories of my life. Had to go, played that song "Heads Carolina Tails California" and flipped on Arizona/Oklahoma...my twin flame hahaha had to run from the law...we had a new life 24 hours later. We had $500 to our names for gas and a place and for everything else in a minivan...including two toddlers and a dalmation. I climbed mountains and swam in waterfalls. I ran from a pack of coyotes and got away. Life can be an adventure if you just get up and go. No regrets and you can always change your mind and go somewhere else.

It wasn't solo...but I came home on a greyhound bus alone after he went to jail and I sent my kids back to Texas ahead of me. I had to give away the dog and left two cars there. My elderly parents had followed and relocated to the same apt complex to be with their only child and grandkids. They had to follow me home. It was not an ideal trip or move. I call it an extended vacation now...but I gave up everything to go and everything to come back home. It all worked out and I still have no regrets 25+ years later. NO FEAR! :) Take chances and go have some fun. Go live your life y'all! Make memories, meet cool people and do fun stuff. DO NOT WASTE YOUR LIFE. DO NOT BE AFRAID. GO PLAY! :)

I just did two weeks solo travelling in South Korea. As my safety net I started the trip in an Airbnb in someone's apartment. Then after a few days I stayed alone in my own apartment. And at the end of the trip I did shared apartment with other female travellers. That way I didn't feel like I couldn't be without help if I needed it 😊

Thank you for this video! I have come so close to "leaving" multiple times but I never took the chance for one made-up excuse each time. I have now all the fears of the 25-years-old Sorelle at 29. I don't know what I need to take action because I even have the privilege of getting a scholarship. Your words are very inspiring and you remind me of peace in green.

Great advice...went to Africa twice....both times to work with Anglican church.
Having said that, fell in love with the people and land. I'm 69 years old now, but desire to go back and live permanently.... anyway I think it's great to go out of your comfort zone. It's the most alive thing you can do.✌️

I'm not exactly 'moving' to another country... but I recently decided it's now or maybe never to fulfil a very old dream of mine and travel overland along some of the old Silk Routes. So come July, I'll be starting from Kerala in the South of India and will be making my way (no planes!!) to Europe. I'm very excited. Maybe along the way I will find somewhere that I want to live for a while.

Thank you for this video, Sorelle! Always enjoying your advice regarding travelling, struggles with moving abroad and the strong itch for changing your location, say changing your life... As a student abroad in France I can relate to and connect with your words profoundly. And though I have known and followed your channel since 2018, only after moving abroad I have realised how this experience changes you.
Some day, I would love to go outside Europe and start a life in the United States or Latin America. I confess that everyone of us foreigners have at least one "safety cushion" to land on, just haven't realised that it was that strong.
I appreciate immensely your work, your way of living and the art that I are creating. I stay one of the most inspiring people I have seen..❤

I wanted to travel alone since very young too. I also travelled together with a friend for 3,5 months which was great practice too! And though very very grateful for the experience, I discovered how much I wanted the freedom to go alone and not adapt to anybody.
I also lived abroad through university, but that was a mistake for me: I was older than my class and it was expensive, but in the end it was experience.
Several times I have taken too much luggage !
So this is perfect timing Sorelle,
    I'm leaving my country ✅️
    Traveling✅️
    Solo✅️
    As a woman✅️
And I want to work and travel✅️
And permanently relocate✅️ but like you, I don't know where yet.
I bet Sorelle has Sagittarius written all over her chart,.I know I do
    ..!

I am pretty sure you can find the "why" of the countries you have lived in your natal chart using Astrocartography. I recently discovered why a Spanish woman born and raised in Holland moved to Ireland, a country I had never thought about. Yet my moon sign aspect moves through a village I live now. It all is really written in our natal chart.
