After watching so many of these service videos, I'm almost afraid to send you any of my old seikos for service because of the heap of derision I'd likely be submitting myself to for the oddball prior servicing and parts selections they've probably had and I never knew about. I mean, yeah, life's filled with opportunities to correct old wrongs, but think of the shame! Given the backlog, it'll be a long time or maybe never, but the likely revelations lurking inside these old things is fun to think about... kinda. Great episode as always, and always a pleasure to watch.

You can tell it's an expensive watch when the quartz movement has jewels. I forgot the name of my Seiko movement but i know for sure it's on jeweled i opened it and even then it's extremely accurate at +.6 sec a month and it's dead silent can't hear it unless it's pressed into my ear and it ticks with authority, no looseness or jutter with the second hand, dead center on the indexes too. I can only imagine a jeweled Japanese quartz movement, can't imagine how it can somehow be even better than an amazing non jeweled movement.
Can’t wait to see the qt-99 rebuild! Question, looking at the new Seiko 5s. To me, I am not a believer that they are replacing the SKX line, different specs. What are your thoughts on the R movement?
Hi Spencer and Sabrina I'm back with another question this time I wanted to know if you would ever consider doing a Seiko quartz tester video and how different is it from a regular quartz tester. Thank you in advance.
Wrong setting on the QT-99 for this watch. It was on the red button (LED sweep) and should have been on the green button (Step). No wonder you were having problems. Pity the customer.
Enjoyed the video. Thanks!
I truly enjoy watching your work Sir.
Super work, I have the same watch from June 1985. Great piece of Seiko history.
Great 👍

When the machines rise up and come after all of us, they will have mercy on Spencer. :)
Your channel has become my favorite RUclips channel. I appreciate and enjoy every video you post.
Great looking watch. Excellent result!
I have been looking for a hand set for ever.
That was the only set I had, I'm sorry.

That's a nice watch !
You are to vintage Seiko watches as Michelangelo was to the Sistine Chapel.
