This reminds me of the time when I bought my GF a nice piece of jewelry from Tiffany's. She cleaned it using jewelry cleaner, but fell asleep and forgot it was still sitting in the liquid. She woke up the next day to a ruined piece of jewelry.
I would definitely recommend dish soap. This would have never happened if she use this method.

You don't need that machine.... just let it sit in warm water with dish soap. Use a toothbrush or something similar to scrub it down.

Oh, just shampoo it and put it in a standing hair dryer. GOTTEN! 👍🏻
