I personally enjoy this because you seem happier than when the goal is to make a video that will generate a lot of views. I'm sure there's some balance there that you're continually trying to find, but please always keep these videos in some capacity as it's great to see you doing what you love most.

I really enjoy these Bouldering/climbing focused videos. But for me it's less about the grade or how hard the Route/Problem is and more about the experience and journey you go through while trying it. So for example Marte trying really hard on a 6A/B/C is just as entertaining as you having a battle with a 8A/B and up. The vocalising of your thoughts and seeing you going through the different stages in your mind till success is what makes me feel like i am part of the whole thing.🤷 Edit: Corrected spelling of Martes name. Sorry for that ^^
I'm getting nostalgic watching these videos recently; lead climbing, Magnus has a project, and he's doing physicals at the end of a session. It's almost enough to bring a tear to my eye.
I literally just did a marathon of videos & you uploaded 10 minutes ago again!! Love your content man! You inspired me to start climbing this year & I found a passion now instead of a hobby! Also hope to you see you, jujimufu & tom link again once the covid is over!
Hey Magnus, I'm one of your newer subscribers - only been around for 3-4 months and thus still rewatching your older videos. These climbing focused videos are actually my favorite on the channel - although I like your sense of humor too, as well as the cinematography. Now here are 2 suggestions that I personally have, maybe my fellow Magnus bingewatchers agree with me on them: Firstly, I've just watched your vlog #114 and really appreciated the voice over and edit on some of the boulders, I remember that you once mentioned somewhere that voice overs actually take quite some effort, but I get the impression that they are really helpful for understanding some of the easier boulders which you just cruise through without much thought and a lot of beginner/intermediate climbers could learn a lot if you could add one or 2 of these for the easier boulders which you usually just flash without much thought (whereas with the slab here and the 2 8a your on-site explanations were perfect without any need for a voice over or slowing down for us to catch the action ;)). Secondly, it is always hard to judge how steep some climbs are and if us viewers realized the degree of steepness on some routes we might actually be even more impressed. I figured that it might be feasible to add a small icon/picture of the angle/steepness of the wall your climbing on next to the grade. I'm thinking just a very simple sideview animation simply consisting of two lines, one horizontal and the other one representing the wall. I guess in your homebase gym where you are one of the owners you could easily retrieve accurate information on the exact angle. That was quite a lengthy comment, I hope you do get to read it and might even agree with one of these points. Love your videos and I'm already fearfully anticipating the day where I watched all of your old videos and have to wait for you to post a new one to get my dose of Magnus ;)
I love how Magnus adapted to the comments on the last video where people were commenting that they'd love some more explaining and he immediately applied it in this one!
Thank you so much for these hard indoor climbing session videos. I love all of your alternative content but the climbing is definitely what hooked me and I did feel itd been missing a bit.
I think the reason these videos are some of the coolest is because few of us know what progression looks like at Magnus' level. When he flashes like 90% of boulders it's hard to imagine what getting even better entails, so seeing the struggle and seeing the training is some cool variety for us newer viewers!
Love the oldschool just climbing videos. Just seeing you beast mode those smooth balls at the end of a hard AF climbing session is what we all admire about you.
These are definitely not "repetitive" to watch! Also I really loved the insights on the micro-beta adjustments you were going to use on that black climb. Those tiny things that make huge differences aren't talked about nearly as much and it's very interesting to hear your perspective on failed attempts.
Micro beta is so crazy, I literally couldnt get a climb for weeks one time and my friend finally told me to adjust my thumb like a fraction of a centimeter and I got it first try, it's so ridic! Love hearing micro beta.
Love the computer game music when you're doing the quirky slab of the week! Makes it feel like you're watching an oldskool platform game on the Nintendo Gameboy or something lol.
