bloody fantastic at last a video that explains how to use the jig on the planner blades, I was looking for a dealt 580 version but this works perfectly explaining the process. thankfully as it was driving me mad looking for the adjustment option.
Nice tutorial. I don’t think that setting block came with mine so I’ve been setting the blade depth by laying a flat bar on the main part of the base and adjusting the depth till it no longer touches the bar. Very hard to get the depth perfect 😞 As a result, I tend get little ridges in the wood when planing wide surfaces.
Yes,too quick. I assembled the holding plates loosely without the blade, then slid the blade from the side ,and then cranked the holding plates tight when the blade was situated.
Best version strait to the point video! No one else has made a video this way! Thank you

So what's the point of the 2 panhead screws in the adjustment block?
Excellent
Thankyou!
Thanks mate
Is the set tool block necessary if you are replacing the blades this the same type?
I would not think so, but was asking myself the same question!
Can you sharpen the blades on a whetstone??
Cheers mate
Thanks. Just bought a cordless one and the instruction manual is of little help.

спасибо, помогло
I liked using the tool but changing the blade is surgery. I hate it. Tutorial much better than from Makita
Planar blades had .coming
Planer blade is not that easy idk how you perfectly slid that plate on 😂
Doesn’t look easy 😂
Your explaining far too too quick
