I'm in the latter group. The Levitation Sessions went across my music feed last month and I loved the spacey texture. Then heard Nimh and I was hooked.
I'm at a loss for words. The only one that comes to mind is "magnificent." What y'all have created moved me more than anything since Mastodon's Blood Mountain. Thank you!!!
these tracks keep reminding me of these french artists (Laloux, Mœbius, Caza), it's like you've managed to describe how those drawings look and feel through music
Best song from the record. Realizing that I'm rocking forwards and backwards like a monk searching for transcendence while listening to this peace of art.
"Break on through to the other side" comme dirait jim . Bravo ! le monde vous attend maintenant ! comme vous pouvez le voir dans les commentaires ! magnifique
This is like a visualization of a DUNE character's traversal of hyperspace while on the spice, like a CHOAM guild navigator's experience of guiding his ship. Terrific work, both musically and visually.
This takes me back to my cholhood and how people were still dreaming about being out there with the stars! The younger generation 's dont even look up at night and wonder whats out there! I love these vids
Using Google translator, Oh mon Dieu, c'est fantastique. Je vous ai récemment entendu pour la première fois. J’aime vraiment beaucoup ta musique. Please come to New Mexico USA!!!!! Happy New Year.
Brilliant, guys! I'm looking forward to the album's release. Please consider playing a concert in Poland that was supposed to take place but didn't due to the pandemic 😭. It would be great to see you though! 🤩
This is pure fucking art, I cant get over this Video. Discovered Slift 2 months ago and they are BY FAR my favorite band out there!!! Cant wait to see them live!
I discovered them about two years ago. Finally got to see them live in October ‘22. It was the best live show I’ve seen in 30 years. They were flawless.
@@SineEyed Nothing fancy. I saw them at a small club in Atlanta. Just some psychedelic imagery on a silkscreen in the background with them killing it on stage. Great energy, great sound. It doesn’t hurt that they were playing their last album, Ummon, in its entirety. It’s the best album I’ve heard in years. I posted a video from that show of them playing Hyperion. I don’t need theatrics and costumes at a show. They sounded better live than on the recordings. Can’t wait until they come to the states again.
@@KingPenn13 right on man, thanks for the reply. I asked, not because I need that stuff or thought they _should_ have it in their shows, but because I could imagine a band who would put out a video like this, doing something like that. You know what I mean? Really I was just kinda being cheeky. Anyway, I'll keep any eye out for them making their way to the west coast. I'm sure I'd have a great time. Thanks again.. 🤙
@@SineEyed Ha! I understood what you meant. I would most definitely go see them if you ever get the chance. I will travel if they don’t play near me. With them being from France, I assume I won’t get many chances.
Knew I was onto something good with that first KEXP session I found by these guys. Glad I subscribed, getting massive King Crimson vibes but in a modern psych garage way.
These singles are incredible and this LP feels like it is going to be much more emotive and reflective. Stoked to listen front to back for the first time!!
ever since i went to paris and met the bass player for (chanvre- mothership, dettritus town, ...and more..) i knew you gauls were onto some cool stuff. "come to california" i said. dont. we are not ready
The objects/shilouettes on the top of the Mountains of the first planet in the video (2:38) - I knew I had seen them before: they are the smaller spacecrafts from the video of "Thousand Helmets of Gold"
Calling it right now, best album of 2024! I absolutely love this album so far. Ummon was amazing and this is just pushing that sound even further. I love the emotion and tension of these songs. Jean's vocals are intense, and Remi's bass playing just adds this powerful foundation to it.
Guys I'm there in that spaceship with you! Let's continue our journey through the cosmos to find out more about our inner selves & the mystery of life. This is the kind of art I live for. Thanks for this masterpiece.
The imagery reminds me of both Slift's Levitation Session performed in the Boule, a decommissioned megavolt electron microscopy, and the cover of ELP's Brain Salad Surgery
Can't say I ever heard of you guys before, but I caught this on a late night edition of Australian music video show Rage tonight and... yeah, it's pretty bloody good!
Best way to start the new year ☄️
That wasn't just a song, that was an experience 👌
I like the space ship engine sounds in the first part of the outro. Sounds nothing like a guitar that I've ever heard!
Theyre evolving.... shout out to the people whove been waIting A few years for this LP to drop. Congrats to the people who have just discovered SLIFT!
I discovered them on Friday because of the cover art of their new album. Amazing stuff!
I'm in the latter group. The Levitation Sessions went across my music feed last month and I loved the spacey texture. Then heard Nimh and I was hooked.
I'm blown away by this band and surprised they haven't gotten more attention.
Instant masterpiece
15 more rotations to reach Ilion!
So…there needs to be a film for the entire album. Make it this generation’s The Wall.
I'm at a loss for words. The only one that comes to mind is "magnificent." What y'all have created moved me more than anything since Mastodon's Blood Mountain. Thank you!!!
We are witnesses of a new chapter of musical history. Unforgetable. See SLIFT in Germany, Hamburg soon. ❤

C'est vraiment excellent !

What a killer song, what a killer video. Slift are already legends to me
Looking forward to the new album and to see you live in Utrecht!!
Tout simplement époustouflant !!! J'apprécie l' hommage à H.R. GIGER pour les séquences intérieures du vaisseau.
This is like a visualization of a DUNE character's traversal of hyperspace while on the spice, like a CHOAM guild navigator's experience of guiding his ship. Terrific work, both musically and visually.
I just heard this band for the first time today and am an instant fan. Well done.
I’d love to meet Slift and just talk sci fi books and and art for a bit.
This takes me back to my cholhood and how people were still dreaming about being out there with the stars! The younger generation 's dont even look up at night and wonder whats out there! I love these vids
My lord this Song is incredible. Man I am so glad KEXP featured you.
Wow serious Tool vibes in this song and video. Very cool
I discovered Slift about 6 months ago. Ummon is a masterpiece. I can't stop listening to it. And now this!
This is now my official Mothership (ttrpg) soundtrack.
Discovered Slift couple of months ago by chance. I now i love it! You guys rule
Magnifique morceau et vidéo, cest un délice, bravo a tous !
Best band out there. Trying to catch a show but difficult due to living in Shanghai. I will make it happen.....hopefully summer!
Using Google translator, Oh mon Dieu, c'est fantastique. Je vous ai récemment entendu pour la première fois. J’aime vraiment beaucoup ta musique. Please come to New Mexico USA!!!!!
Happy New Year.
I love when you can tell exactly which sci-fi movies people are into
Something Something Prometheus/Alien, Dune, Event Horizon, 2001:Space Oddesey, Something something?
Definitely fifth element too. And also, I would suspect some influence from Moebius and Druillet as well.
Pandorum for sure
Not a movie (yet), but Hyperion
Stargate as well.
These Ilion tracks are so good that I'm finding it hard to listen to other music right now
Excellent video, superb music, just amazing all around. Terrific art design. ♪♫♪

@@KingPenn13 what kind of show do they put on? Costumes? Theatrics? Pyrotechnics? Dancing alien babes? Inquiring minds wanna know..

Great tune and Video Earthlings!
Génial, vous avez des dates de concert en France bientôt ! Hâte !!
Great trip ✨

EPIC! SLIFT you need to come back to Atlanta, Georgia!
I can't wait for you guys to come back to Portland!

Very excited to delve into Ilion in full here soon, Weaver’s Weft is my new favorite so far! Killer work by all involved!
Video is very Metal Hurlant.
Going to pop over to toulouse to see them soon,,, Yeeeaaaaaahhh,
Rouen, Im seeing them in Roen, I said toulouse because I was thinking about how they are from there
Baroness + mastodon + dashes of gojira, those are the vibes i get.
+ some heavy psych and stoner rock. It's insane how complex their music is.
Reminds me of some of Devin Townsend's music too, especially Terria
Enter the SLIFT
Bravo les gars.
Merci SLIFT
Cosmic!
The objects/shilouettes on the top of the Mountains of the first planet in the video (2:38) - I knew I had seen them before: they are the smaller spacecrafts from the video of "Thousand Helmets of Gold"
If I recall correctly, didn't we see a glimpse of the white citadel at the end of that same music video?
Yes, one of the "helmet" spacecrafts is approaching an asteroid ("satellite") with the white citadel on it @@Outer-Space-in-1993

A day cant get any better than waking up and seeing new Slift , best band ever
EPIC!!!! so good. can't wait for Slift to return to Los Angeles!
I like bands with lore.
Guys I'm there in that spaceship with you! Let's continue our journey through the cosmos to find out more about our inner selves & the mystery of life.

This is stunningly good. Jaw-droppingly awesome in every way.
❤❤❤
Musical and visual masterpiece!!
superb. thanks.
The imagery reminds me of both Slift's Levitation Session performed in the Boule, a decommissioned megavolt electron microscopy, and the cover of ELP's Brain Salad Surgery
Wow! Did not expect that. Great!!
Non mais... ...Mais OUI !!! ❤
Transporté à la fois par le son et par l'image. Wow. Vivement le reste et le concert !!
This album is going to be huge for the band and SubPop. Congrats to you both!
Han ça faisait longtemps que je ne m'étais pas prise une claque comme ça : sonore et visuel en prime. Bravo c'est tout simplement divin !
Excellent clip !!! Époustouflant 😮
Love this album already
This is one of the greatest pieces of art that I have ever heard.
Great. Now I want a Dune & Slift space rock opera. Villeneuve, get on it!
Dune is for Comaduster
So incredible, well done all of you!!!
Can't say I ever heard of you guys before, but I caught this on a late night edition of Australian music video show Rage tonight and... yeah, it's pretty bloody good!
SLIFTOULOUSE or not to LOOSE ! ! Just amazing and monstrous ! !
Incredible as usual. I hope to see a Weavers movie in the future.
The slow part in the last 4 minutes is so goood! Greetings from Greece
We don't deserve this greatness!!
Awesome video - thank you..
Oh hell yeah
Wow. Its amusic video. Ive been waiting like five years for the internet ro be good for something. Best music video i'e ever seen.
J'ai tellement hâte, l'album va être fou.
Hyperrriiion.
J’étais déjà conquis par votre univers mais là on monte encore d’un cran, le son comme l’image ! 😮 Bravo, et merci !!
Awesome....You guys jus sold another album on the 19th! I'm in.
excellent! can't wait to see you in Leeds next month.
30 seconds in: what drugs did it take to make this?
3 minutes in: oh there's no drugs required, it's just raw genius.
Crazy putting an ad in the middle of the song.
Not the usual Technical Death Metal I prefer.
But dope sound and vibe and the video is sick
Love from Canada!
Hell yeah!! I just ordered the Levitation Sessions on boxing day.. might have to pre order this one.
tabarnac
Actually cannot wait to listen to the new record
I got hooked on UMMON, so now I'm stoked for this newest album 👀
Putting on my Slift t-shirt and getting my DMT vape. ☮️🇨🇦
I can see some influence for this video from the 1973 Animated French Sci fi film Fantastic Planet
Hopefully see you live in Tokyo someday
Encore top les Toulousains !
to start the year, good!
Please come to San Antonio
Wow!
If Dune Metal was what you guys are after, you succeeded 10 fold
On croirait parfois entendre du Devin Townsend. Surprenant et beau
Yeah. Fuck yeah. Great video.
What a wonderful trip you have created! 👌
Un chef-d'oeuvre 🤯. RDV le 1er mars!
