The more I listened to live sets/remixes by Tale of Us after GTA introduced them to me, the more I was able to appreciate the fact that they produced/mixed an hour's worth of ALL ORIGINAL music just for the game. A testiment for their dedication to music, neatly tucked away in a niche corner of a video game. Your description as this functionally being a debut album for them is the most appropriate way as to what this set really should mean for Tale of Us and their fans.

Honestly the only real thing to do online. Everyone else ruins the game. Even then, I've only had two DJs and none of them hit hard as electro choc. Still glad they added dance proper
It costs money to get one to do one hour of motion capture + music is usually licensed (more money) but yeah it would be nice but no more DJs are happening

I know this is supposed to be called "Melodic Techno", but listening from 40:00 to the end, at what point do we start calling this Progressive Trance? It does not sound any different to what labels like JOOF or Pure Trance released back in the days and even nowadays. As both a Techno and Trance fan, can't get enough of this "fusion".
In my opinion techno artists are noticing that in order to make new music they are almost obliged to go in trance soundworlds, afterall we know that trance is much more vast in terms of sonic possibilities and moods than techno, thats why it's my favourite genre with ambient

@maggutz tale of us founded the afterlife label, I became a fan of them through gta when the nightclub dlc came out in 2018, and I was really obsessed with the afterlife label since then. Unfortunately, they have lost their touch with this type of sound, if you listen to their sets 7-8 years ago, it's what they used to play, and now they became even more mainstream than ever, i won't lie some of their new stuff is pretty good, but i want the old tale of us sound back, the whole afterlife label even
Tale of Us's set in GTA 5 is one of the best I've heard in his genre, the atmospheric, progressiveness and melody of his tracks are unmatched. Don't know why most people prefer Solomun's set it sounds so generic and plain. Although they are more public disco suited but not my type.
