Brother I thought this was a clickbait title… but hands down this is the only platform that’s allowed me to build without any tech knowledge and everything works end to end with supabase backend integration and db. The error fixing is amazing, no more being stuck in constant error loops on bolt.new. Very impressed 🙏🏿

Bro nooo don’t let the secret out!! Hah I switched to Lovable too. It passed a lot of the blockers I was encountering with bolt when building my app. Although there are a lot of things I still like about bolt but overall I’m feeling lovable a lot more
Awesome. The problem I had with Bolt was I was watching my tokens drain away fixing supabase errors. I felt like not knowing about database design was a show stopper. I was pasting SQL in to Supabase without having a clue as to what I was doing.
same, but I am familiar with databases. i've spend 200 USD on bolt, but probably saved 5000 USD so far vs hiring full stack dev, and its at my fingertips any moment for whatever I want. that's crazy still to me. Just finished a tool that would have cost me 7.5k (got actual quote) and 4 weeks. I did it in a day with Bolt. I will test Loveable, but am addicted to bolt. Gotta make sure you know why erros are happening to not waste credits.
Have you tried using Lovable to try to help you tackle it? I am a non technical person and you would be surprised with how much I can do with their native integration

@@jd2161 its actually much more difficult. Bolt has a completely different infrastructure that is hard to setup up Stripe with. Have you set it up yourself in Bolt?
@@KadirBastu but the question is does it make sure to authenticate that the user is a paid subscriber before allowing access to the app? You can't do that unless you have a database setup in the backend like Supabase
can not find out how to make a duplicate of one of my landing pages to then make one for each citu using lovable and sabase ... pages will exist as cached versions of dynamically generated content.
Let me know what you think. I really do think the ease of backend integrations is a game changer for us non technical people. IDEK what an edge function is but the fact that it sets it up for me to handle data is amazing!

you have been talking about a few of these tools recently but i cant find any talk about "value for your money" ... the daily free access is not nearly enough to actually build and refine something to share so which of these tools (lovable, bolt, replit, A0) is offering the best subscription to get the best bang for our buck?
Thank you for pointing this out, I do need to touch on this. I think my short answer is that with these platforms you need to pay for convenience. For example, Lovable is a bit more expensive that Bolt but the native integrations make it muchhh easier to use. Maybe I will make a full video on this!

Hi Brock - I have tried both Bolt and Lovable to create an LSD to Lat, Long convertor - you think it would be easy, but both failed miserably. Perhaps you could do a video on that.

I have been speaking with someone internally that has been working on a solution. Didn't know it was that close to being deployed. Next up is Stripe which is very important!
bolt has better design so far from what i see with lovable. i like that i can edit code right in bolt. powerful apps in a day, already working with two API, bolt handled like a boss. I wonder if stripe API can work with bolt. I'm torn. Will have to play with loveable, but I'm a bolt addict only after a few days using it.

a friend of mine built a dating app with an algorithm using Bolt.new. So you definitely could build something like that with Lovable. However it would not be exactly easy

It depends on your capabilities. These are more tailored for non coders. I have no coding experience at all. Cursor is a bit more complex for people like us
Do you have to pay for fixing errors because that is the biggest problem in bolt. Bolt just doesn’t do something and it take 20-50prompts to fix and then you run out of prompts on the pro in a day
@ do you think it has less errors. I sometimes think bolt is doing the errors on purpose. I think the Claude integration might reduce the errors hopefully

But the question is does it set up everything else for you? Lovable sets up the edge functions so you do not have to, not only creates the Supabase connection
@@Sebastian-p4kthat’s the same problem I had too. Apparently they’re launching their Supabase integration soon which will pretty much be what Lovable does now. What bolt has going for it vs lovable is its ability to deploy into production and customize a URL. It’s still doable with lovable but just have to jump through a couple hoops
Ive seen other RUclipsrs demo Loveable and Everytime it struggled to do basic prompts. I like the integrations, but it still has a long way to go. But i guess since this is all relatively new tech, that's to be expected.
This is good to know. I personally haven't had any big issues that I wouldn't experience with Bolt. I just Love that ease of integration which is a selling point for me. Will be interesting to see when Bolt can implement this
you are not telling people how many limited token they have for claude, are u teaching or u just bored, if they exhauste the token your app wont work, dont rush take time to explain the full concept
@BrockMesarich just a calendar and a note system to different users. And mess thing up all the time. No by far its not ready. Way to many errors. Bolt or this same crap. Uses all my credits. Fist built things then mess things up. Fixed them and other things are broken again. Done with these tools

Lovable is too early for a paid subscription, as there are still many bugs and missing functionalities. Bolt is much better at the moment.

I have never seen anyone get the Stripe API to work with Bolt. Have you? That is a massive turn away for me in particular

That's exactly my problem with bolt. Super quick to build nice frontend but I constantly get errors after connecting bolt with supabase
