"serverless" or "edge" functions contrary to the name still run on a server, just not the traditional way. In short Edge functions are created on a server nearest to the users request and once they finish processing the request they are destroyed along with any data stored in memory at the time.
As others have pointed out, there are servers (AWS Serverless / Lambdas , Azure functions are running on some server out there on the cloud) for these, but not a dedicated one, its just executing code-on-demand on the 'next available server'. Edge really means closer to your desired location for optimization and faster access. The key thing end of the day is you don't pay for a dedicated system running but rather pay-per-execution
LOL, its very good, but also TOO dynamic; and will mess-up on specific detailed prompts, as you ask for X and you get Y and Z thrown in, even though you know you dont want Y and Z. but sends you down a sales funnel to HOST anything you create, so unless you have the budget, you get priced out

Edge functions are ephemeral.. and they live on cdns. There are pros and cons but for the type of work your doing here it’s totally fine.

Key words "you know you don't want Y and Z"... be extremely specific in your prompts... I learned that lesson quickly!

Lot of errors with CRUD in lovable and fix them get you to reach quick your usage limit
Or u can deploy it to netlify then u have a backend
Its nice but its missing the code editor and a option to add code, also the low credit limit, you cant build a big project without paying 100 dollar
This could be done via aider+claude with a little manual labor to deploy code. Whatever stack you'll like.
